Building a gaming pc

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I have got some money from my job and am willing to spend a max of 900 dollars on a gaming pc. This PC will be used for the next 8 years (high school and college) and will need to run the games of today and the games of the future. Also, I will be running CAD softwares and other things. I have decided to build my pc, but need to know some websites. I tried pc part picker, but I always end up over 1000. Can anyone suggest any good parts for cheap prices?

So please give me what is good while keeping the price low.

motherboard-

cpu-

stroage-

memory-

gpu-

cooling-

etc.....

I'd say it's nearly impossible.

Either your parts will be cheap, and won't last you for more than 1-2 years

Or you'll have to get cheaper parts that will hardly run the games of today, much less tomorrow

Or you have to save up some more. A decent quality build starts at around 2k

motherboard- Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z

cpu- AMD Bulldozer FX-6100

stroage- Western Digital 1TB, Kingston Technology 120GB SSD.

memory- Corsair Vengeance 8GB.

gpu- Sapphire Dual-X Radeon R9 270X

case - Fractal Design Define R4

Cooling - Corsair 120mm Hydro Series H80i

This is the cheapest I could think of.  :o

If you're willing to spend some more money, the razer blade 14' is very good for gaming while also being one of the thinnest, and therefore most convenient to carry around, gaming laptops; which would help since you'll bee using it in college.

For around $200 you can purchase a good gaming motherboard. The Asus - Sabertooth Z87 LGA 1150 Motherboard is a good start.

I think you should try some custom options at pc pro, you can build custom gaming pcs much cheaper than 900 dollars

PCs are the best gaming machines and not laptops/netbooks, its quite frustrating to play with those things, so i would recommened that

But what ever you do, do not buy a gaming netbook or laptop!

^ How are you gonna move a PC through college?...

Let's assume he meant laptops.

Now, I don't know how you're able to build a computer of any sort but if you can, who am I to deny it?

I've heard that Asus has good motherboards (which has also been mentioned on this thread)

If my parents allowed me, I would have bought a custom gaming pc for 5000 euro.
