Hello Tankman

Welcome the ultimate mines' guide .. As everybody knows, mines are a pretty good weapon to use in battles, and they are often neglected by player. Today we are gonna talk about when to use mines, how to use them, and how t keep them planned !

Attacking :

when attacking, holding the enemie's flag and goin back to base to capture it, you will be followed by the enemie's defenders, so what you need to do is plan a mine while your going to base, so that it blocks and disturb the defenders. it is preferable if you plan a mine in a narrow path like this one in silence 2

Defending :

There are plenty ways to use mines for defence, it all depends on what tanks is the enemie using, if its light fast tanks u can use this formation of mines around your flag

tuto5.jpg

If it's heavy slow tanks, go with this one

Notice : When using these two formations, you need to find a safe spot, where you can hide and not be in a shooting zone, and always be under armour; 100% HP. Also if you're not sure whether you defend or attack from the moment you enter a battle, don't use these formations, you will just waste your mines !

Tips :

If you're having a bad time stoping hornets and wasps from getting your flag :

Drop mines in this side of the path

And not in the middle, why ? because even if the mine doesn't succed on destroying the fast hornet or wasp, it will flip it ;)

Parkour :

And finally, the last use of mines in this tutorial is parkour, make an enemie player drop his mine at the edge of a path, use armor, speed, and use some railgun tricks and see the magic :D

If there is anything to add, please make yourselves home :D

Thanks for reading

How are you going to mine the base in farm? The other team will kill you easily

Farm was just an example, you are right, this technique is used in bigger maps !

  • How to airstrike
  • When being a hard-core miner, always use a long-range weapon such as Railgun, Shaft, or Thunder
  • Do know that when you start placing Mines, it can start a Drug-war
  • Know that Mines take a few seconds to activate. So your enemies can get through it without being hurt if they are fast enough.
  • When placing Mines, be aware of any enemies that are targeting you. Always be aware of your environment. Is there a Shaft watching you? Is there a Railgun on the prowl? Is there an unblocked path where an enemy can easily slip through and assassinate you?
  • When taking Mining seriously, keep track of them. If one detonates, replace that with another Mine. Enemies can keep going through that same path, clearing up the Mines. And if you don't make sure it's covered, they can break through and kill you, eliminating every other mine you have laid.

Just a few I thought of. . .

Also, on 1st Screenshot, why did you place it there? You should have placed it directly on top of the ramp, so enemies have a 0% chance of avoiding it. . . Enemies could still avoid that Mine by driving around it. . .

Thank you for this additional tips, about your questions, the mines can be seen only when you're too close to hit it, so since they will be rushing to follow you .. BOOM !! And yes, mines on the ramp are more effective...

And I think after the rebalance mines seem to be activated by proximity, not by pressure. I was just on a Silence battle and I got close but didnt touch an enemy mine but it still detonated. It could be lag, though. And nice guide.

Indeed, i noticed that myself, but I don't think it's lag, it's just too sensitive !

nice,i have some ideas too  :)

+ if u face the enemy in their base and u sure cant fight on that time(wanna capture the flag or you're health were low

,before he visible to do anything, trap a mine under him and go :D ;)

+ when u see a tank with turrets like freeze, isida or fire bird is closing u , trap a mine and wait1-2second to placed unseen :D

then move back and like you're scared , and u'll fool him ;) :D

+ in combats at short distance, some players try to push u while attacking

first dont let em,trap a mine, then let em come on the mine

hope it help you guys

Here is a tip: When a enemy is coming close to you with a weapon with long reload like railgun or shaft (I doubt shaft will do this though) or weapon which uses a charge like firebird, freeze, isida or ricochet, when it shoot/runs out of charge, go ram it, make sure the weight of yours is not higher than the other, let them push you, don't accelerate, now plant a mine, and start pushing him, you will see that as soon as mine activates, it will explode the enemy and give him a big damage. ;)
