Ok Devs won, as we all expected BUT...this was a really unfair battle for the players, since Players were chosen randomly, while Devs did a skill test and then they sent their best "pairs" to face some random players.

 

Result of that was, poor "pairs" of players facing an OP side (cause of skill and preparation) Devs, and players losing easily. If you watch the battles in cybesport, you will clearly see Devs actually showing mercy to the players, cause obviously those battles were too easy for the Devs. Devs showed good sportsmanship, sure, but they could have made this much more interesting for everyone in the first place.

 

So, I think what should have been done instead is...Both sides, Devs AND Players, doing a tournament (Devs(x community) vs Devs(x community) and Players(x community) vs Players(x community)) to choose the best ones for each side and for each community, and in the end we could have really good and thrilling battles between The Best of Devs vs The Best of Players.

 

Although i know that organizing all what i suggest above may be a very tedious work to do...i still think it would benefit and entertain all of us who love and spent time in Tanki.

I completely agree with you there should have been some other way for selecting the players from each community.  What you suggested won't be easy to organize so here is my idea:

Instead of choosing 2 players from each community they could choose !0 tandems from each community (English, German and Russian) and organize battles between the players tandems to get the best tandem of players from each community. Like they did to get the best tandem of Dev's [ Battles between developers will be held from January 20 to 24.

— First, there will be a group stage that will take place from January 20 to 22.

— 4 best couples will then take part in semifinals on January 23.

— The final battle for the name of the most skilled tandem of Alternativa will happen on Friday, January 24 ].

I hope they see this and consider it for the next battle "Battle of Rusty Barrels".

And if you(FatalTank) can suggest to add anything else to this.

I'm sorry for my mistake in writing I want to say 10 tandems not !0 tandems. Ya I know it is like the same idea as your's but there is a difference, I am saying selecting 20 random players from each community to form 10 random tandems from each community and get the 1 best tandem from each community.

What you are saying is to get the best tandem from each community by organizing battles against all players. I hope you understood the difference :D

this was obvious for the evs to win cuse they r much more skilled than the players. both of them were generallisiimos but the players not even close so the devs had the advantage as the were much skilled. but bad luck for me i bought players paint.
