As it was said (if you read carefully), when the time for new datacenter comes, it will be announced a few days in advance. What's happening at the moment is just temporarily problems with main provider, hopefully will be fixed soon.

Well I like to get what I need out of someone(well I'm no golddigger but I what I mean is I want to know or get an answer) and THEN  I make jokes. Sometimes. Yay. Another award for my over-flowing dresser. I might put this one on the wall if it's a certificate  :P   :D

uh what what what ?!??   I don't think you got "what you need out of me" .  I only stated very clearly that your connection speed won't be the same as light speed to the new servers and that even if you're on an all optical network from your end to tanki's new server.  I did not go into any details of that, I'm not your dad nor your teacher, internet and wikipedia are there for you to google and read.  Also this guy gave an outline as to some of the many reasons why data travels much much slower than the speed of light, something you seem to not be able to grasp.

I read some posts about the speed of light ect ect , and there are some good points; but these points are good for backbones , big cables of optical fiber under the oceans ! actually ... our internet connections depend on the telephone network, the telephone exchange, the quality of the cables in our neighborhood, etc etc ... and eventually our router / switch and (why not !) our PC.

There is a large number of devices and connections between the (TankiOnline) servers and our computer, and unfortunately does not depend only on the power of the servers ... it is a good improvement (thank you TO !) , but do not expect too much or you will be disappointed :-)

my 2 cents

Andrea
PS: I do not expect much from this update: I live in Italy and the quality of the lines is usually very low and therefore I will not benefit from the increased speed / proximity of the server, the 'bottleneck' is still the Italian telephone network :-(

It sucks for me really badly. Please do not do such a thing. The loading took about 15 seconds before. Now, it takes more then 5 minutes. Even in the main servers. I am starting to hate this.

Well Europe is closer to Canada so I guess that's good.Gotta check the political maps again.

Hmmm. Thinking about it, it won't be that much of a difference if it's closer to my location because data travels at 99.999999999% the speed of light so you wouldn't see the difference. BUT it will help the servers them self so,, Good

EDIT: The speed of light (or c) is 186282 mps/ 300000kps(Kilometers per second). A universal constant. Let me not get into that.

Yeah :P
