Hopefully this will sort out the lag issues! Look forward to it, a few hours down will be a fair exchange for no lags.

They can be down for a significant amount of time, but it's in our interest to make everything as fast as possible. We'll notify everyone in advance about the shutdown, don't worry.

Take it slow. Remember,"Rushing" will lead to mistakes.

Amazing! Developers, you rock! Can you open the test servers again? I would LOVE to try the new speed.

Also, can you designate a few servers that are only open to english players? This would mean that anyone could join servers 1-37, ony english players could join 38-41, and only German speakers could join 42-43. This would definitly increase the amount of friends we find, and also lead to harder and better games in the higher ranks, as we can now speak to everyone on the team. Right now russian definitly have an advantage, as they can comunicate with the magority of the players. Or is this not practical?

Well Europe is closer to Canada so I guess that's good.Gotta check the political maps again.

Hmmm. Thinking about it, it won't be that much of a difference if it's closer to my location because data travels at 99.999999999% the speed of light so you wouldn't see the difference. BUT it will help the servers them self so,, Good

EDIT: The speed of light (or c) is 186282 mps/ 300000kps(Kilometers per second). A universal constant. Let me not get into that.

Oh no... :( I live in Hong Kong it's getting further and further...

russia was closer to my country, europe is farther :(

Doesn't mean it will cause more lags.

A lot of time was spent on finding a perfect place to move to. Why European data center? Not only because of increased stability and performance. Several major exchange points that link different countries and continents are also located in European countries. Data centers that are connected to these points use channels capable of transmitting from 2 to 5 terabits per second, it is much more than Russian data centers can cope with, and covers our needs while still leaving a lot of place for future growth.

It might even be faster than now for you!
