Nope, not likely. Things've changed significantly since WW1 and WW2, so much so that it would be downright stupid to start another major war *cough*nuclear weapons*cough* Of course, there'll be conflict in less-developed areas of the globe... but between the world's major powers? Doubt it.

Fully agree with this. The major powers have started to become equals. Conflicts between them are growing less constantly. Not to say that they are all buddy buddy, but there is certainly less tension between the United States and Russia than there was several decades ago. The main focus of conflict in present day is the Middle East and in other less-developed countries. Will there be another large scale war? I kinda doubt it. Things will start to settle down as these less developed countries mature and I think we are looking pretty peaceful in our lifetimes.

I was referring to the Middle East when I talked about less-developed areas, yep. Nice summary :P However, as for your last sentence... I'm personally not sure that'll be the case. I can't really ever see Islamist extremists putting down their weapons and advocating peace and tolerance anytime soon, for example.

and fair politicians.

That in it self is an impossibility. It also reminds me of a joke...If life was fair Foot Fungus would be known as Politicians Mouth.

Think about this, There are a lot of psychotic people in this world ( example Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and so on ) sooner or later one of these psychos are gonna get their hands on "The Button"

They are not "psychotic", they are very, very cunning, smart, and overall a genius. (being a genius does not mean that you have the right morals)

Look at hitler, it took half the world to bring him down.

As for that I meant more in general. No big wars. It seems that (especially in the case of the United States) major countries are beginning to withdraw from those smaller scale conflicts. Of course there will always be extremists, but in my opinion, I think less major war will be caused by it because of what I said, governments are maturing world-wide.

Is the UAE, Qatar, Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey included in the "less developed areas"? Coz if it is it would be funny for the reason that they are some of the world's richest countries.

Fair point; I agree with that. On another related point, there is still the potential for the Middle East crisis, for example, to explode into other nations. I'm sure dictatorships vs. democracies will remain a big issue for quite some time in the coming years.

Also, the stance of countries such as America and those in Europe on such issues tends to be purely political. We can openly criticise African dictatorships, but we'd never dream of doing the same to China, due to trade relationships and their importance in the global economy. Likewise, the conflict in Syria has dragged on due to Russian and Chinese support of the regime, due to their own previous trade arrangements with the country. We criticise the dictators who do not side with the West, yet make sure to keep those who do in power, regardless of the human rights atrocities they have committed. It's all politicised morality, so as a result, it's really not morally correct at all.

Governments are maturing worldwide? Morally, no. Politically, yes.

I was not referring to those countries in particular, just to the general Middle East crisis that's going on now. To be fair, Egypt was a pretty stable country too until it fell apart... And Saudi Arabia, for example, is rich because of its oil wealth, whereas the implementation of the law there is still quite medieval in nature at times (e.g. thieves can have their right hands cut off, and those who renounce Islam should expect a public beheading, both done in mosques), and there is much less freedom of speech due to the nature of the ruling of the country. Saudi Arabia is known for some human rights violations, too, so I'd personally not include it as a 'developed' country, for a country needs to develop both economically and in terms of society. Those other countries, however, are good examples of more developed Middle Eastern countries.
