Update 220=Reworked maps update.

Tell one thing you liked about it, and one thing you did not.

What I liked about it is that all the maps are available at WO4, and what I did not is that silence is gone.

i like madness but i really dont like the new silence

i dont like new silence either, why? here are my reasons; bad crystal box collecting, now the red team has 70% advantage of getting the gold box cuz crystal boxes and golds fall more near they're base, and blue team has like 50%, and now red team has more escape routes.

I can't really think of anything bad about this update. The maps that I would play on most that got changed were Silence (Like everyone else), Kungur, and maybe Brest. The Brest that they chose to base the single one off of is the one I liked more, so couldn't be happier with that. Love the new Kungur, as someone else said the new line of bushes behind the village flag is great and the entire new back route for flanking attempts. Silence, love the changes too. New ways to get from base to base, and the whole catwalk behind the lower base is great. The sniping position from the higher base was also greatly improved and I love that as well. All in all, really like the update.

I dont really like that everyone is going on the new maps only. So hard to find a sandbox CTF these days. The good thing is, that should change soon.

ikr, i went on s1 the other day and there were only 7 xpk battles all of which were already full

Yeah. Which is why I perfer going on right after server update so I can make one myself. Yesterday I made one and went to change in the garage, when I came back it was full. So I made a second one, and it was okay, but there is always drugging at one point.

Favorite change... GRAVITY! Oh oh oh and Berlin. And Short Bridge CTF mode hehe. And combe control points are fun, andddd I could go on and on...

Madness doesn't appeal to me hardly at all unfortunately. FortKnox had a nice change I think, though minor, it made a noticeable improvement. Kolhoz is awesome too!

I could go on... but there are things that I wish could've been implemented too... Here are a few.

1. We need a map with more trees... to the point of being unable to see more than 5-10 meters infront of you due to the density. I really believe many players will find a map like this enjoyable, a medium sized map covered in trees, with a few open spots but not many, and a couple (one or two) buildings or structures.. but really not much. I mean a really seriously dense dense forest... I really think Forest map should be changed entirely to fit this idea.. because honestly.. the map is nothing like a forest at this point. They should try their best to replicate a forest, using many many many trees, the bushes, and the 'dead' trees too.

Another problem with Forest, is that its very similar to the map Siege... but Siege is simply bigger. The layout is ... very similar. Its unncessary to have two of these maps, neither of which is very interesting or unique. One of the two needs a bit of a spicing up, and Forest can do a better job at that, Siege is a decent map already. Forest just again, needs far more trees, and much less elevation changes with ground. Maybe one 4-sided hill for each base's flag to be held, for control point it would be 2 control points.. and the rest of the area is flat land covered in trees everywhere, impossible to see through. The map would be a 5v5 or 6v6 sized map, around the size of Sandal.

2. The maps currently chosen for Cybersport... I think could be improved a bit. With the reworking of maps, there are many nice maps which would work well for the task of Cybersport. Perhaps you and your team should look closely at the construction of each map now, and determine which would work the best, and possibly replace a few maps which are currently listed for CS with new ones. It will keep it fresh and give everyone something new to practice and master, while making it more interesting for viewers. One example would be Kolhoz. It looks pretty nice now, and I can easily see it being used for CS.

3.

I'd like to request to allow us to shoot through holes such as these...

When new maps are implemented... It would make for much more strategical gameplay, and more interesting places to shoot from. Even short-range weapons would be able to shoot through these holes. Its strange because the bullet shooting effects go straight through, as if you can do damage, but when you shoot someone through them, they take 0 damage. Very frustrating. I think many other players agree that you should be able to shoot through these clearly visible holes.

Number 3 in the spoiler above has a total of ^24 thumbs up now (posted in Ideas section, as well as Reworking of maps section on page 8... not a single thumbs down, so clearly something needs to be done about this because we are all in unanimous agreement.

Courage

After that match the other day :P

Edit: I also find Wolfenstein pretty interesting, and Madness is good for when I'm bored
