Tanki online through Steam

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hello this is my first post and hopefully not the last. I just started playing Tanki online 2 days ago and its amazing!

So is there any chance to see Tanki online in Steam?

Steam is a gaming service that hosts games and makes contacting with friends easier while playing.

Maybe a downloadable Tanki online client/application or something like that.

There is some Free2Pay games on Steam like Star Conflict. We can make it there when Unity based client will be ready.

Or we will not be released on Steam at all, who knows :)

This is just too early to speculate.

i hope that unity based client wont lag, but seriously it has more graphics so more chance of lagging :(

Internet lag isn't related to graphics.

The internet only transmits data like your position on the map, your rotation, and the rotation of your turret, the exact times you shoot, etc. The graphics - texture maps, 3D models - are already stored on your computer and are pulled from there.

Therefore, you will get graphics lag due to a bad graphics card, and internet lag due to bad internet.

It's common to have great graphics but a lot of internet lags, or freezing graphics, though your internet is just fine.

So yeah... don't confuse the two :)

Flw30, every game in steam has it own staff and even the games there aren't that simple. like EA games (and EA games has it own gaming service too), 2K or Gearbox..etc. you can find their games there. if what you mean is right, then how did I find Tanki online at Miniclip and started playing it? and Miniclip also hosts games

as I said its just a service that hosts games, not necessarily you buy games from steam because it has free downloadable games.

anyways, I cant wait for the client :)

Until a proper downloadable client is released, I don't think we'll see Tanki Online on Steam. Steam is for downloading games, not for browser games
