my idea:

a gun wth mixture of all

critcal of smokey

spalsh of thund

2x ht like shaft

good reaload like freeze

and powerful like rail

how it?? :P:P

If this idea was ever taken, You can say goodbye to Tanki cause the buyers ain't gonna spare you with that and plus with their 1000+ drugs. 

You don't stand a chance even to respawn and play for 2 seconds.

That's the picture I can imagine in my mind

Where did you see that they're working on these hulls and turrets?

 

A TV guided missile would be brilliant.  I've got several flight simulators that have them, and they are wonderful.

New turrets and hulls

This time we’ve got something really interesting to share with you guys. Some time ago we talked to the producer of the game, Anton Volkov, and asked him one of the most frequently asked questions. When there will be new turrets and hulls in Tanki Online?

The answer to that was reassuring. As soon as the developers team finishes two big projects which are micro-upgrades and friends system, game designers will start working on prototypes of new hulls and weapons.

First about hulls. We all know that all the existing ones don’t differ from one another that much. We’d like to give new experience. For example, a so-called hovercraft which doesn’t touch the ground when moving. So it can easily descend from a bridge without rolling over. On the other hand due to low grip the hovercraft is unstable when it is being hit.

Another interesting thing. A simply looking hull. But when it reaches the destination you press some keys and it deploys itself. After that the hull can’t move but its protection becomes several times bigger. In order to change the position you’ll have to assemble the tank again which will take some time. So that’s what we want to do. To experiment with other game mechanics.

As for turrets, there some ideas already as well. For example, imagine you launch a missile by pressing spacebar. When it leaves the barrel of your tank the camera follows the missile and enables you to control it, maybe even go around corners. The thing is you don’t see what’s happening to your tank at the moment.

Another idea is a shotgun. Just fast massive damage at short range and long reload.

We can expect to start seeing new weapons and hulls in the game at the beginning of the next year. Stay tuned!

lets make a lighttorch weapon, where ever it goes, it turns on

'light up the darkness' :3

ok jk

smoky thunder are mid range ok

for long range we can have a weapon with a smaller scope than shaft, lesser zoom, lesser accuracy, higher recoil, but higher damage! it would add an equivalent to shaft in sniping!

Another tank game BZflag has a Guided Missile with a simple control - you point at the player you want to target, right click (or press 'i') and fire. But there are limitations to stop it being too powerful:

  • it usually has a more limited range than standard shots (bzflag doesn't have the choice of turrets in the way tanki does)
  • reload time can be longer
  • it takes time to travel and the GM has a limited curve, which means targeted players just need to make sure they are travelling sideways relative to the GM, and the GM will miss. Targeted players are warned when they are targeted (including who by).
  • It does not know how to dodge buildings or anything like that, just flies in a curve and will blow up at the first thing it touches (which can be teammates or different enemy players maybe).
  • They have a distance to arm, which means if a target is too close, the GM cannot hit them.
  • They can be defeated by a tank with another ability "Stealth", which means GM cannot lock onto them.
  • Since certain maps lend themselves to camping from a virtually unassailable position, server owners often put a "shot limit" on GM too, so your GM flag (flags being what give you these special abilities) drops, so you'd have to search around to find a GM flag again.

 

A lot of this could be translated into Tanki I'm sure.
