I asked about blind shafts in Lost Temple.   MisterGeneral answers with screenshots of the trees that were not newly added and abruptly closes the topic.     Seriously, did you read the forum question or is this a case of not wanting to answer the question.

 

Either the problem is not understood or no one wants to bother with answering it.  Here are further screenshots.

There is a shaft in those trees that is invisible from a position this close.   So unless the shaft goes INTO the trees.. it can't see it's target.   You can see out if you're in the trees, but you cannot look into the trees from the outside.

 

If a shaft is parked in these trees.. another shaft cannot see them.    This eliminates the ability to engage in long range shooting battles.   But do not tell me that it's a matter of how close you are.   I can't get closer without entering the trees and shafts are really not very good at close combat.

Thank you MisterGeneral for your time and clear understanding of the issue.   I expect you will close this topic as well and dismiss this out of hand rather than try to see and understand the clearly defined problems.    I specifically pointed out the newly added trees.. not the trees that were already on the map prior to their update.

If you have complaints against moderators, send them to an admin, doing it in forum is forbidden and bannable.

As for your question - MG answered you. If you are close to the bushes (no matter of updates, what map are they on, or how many are they), when sniping they'll get transparent. If you're far away, they won't be transparent

Actually, do real snipers see through bushes at all? :huh:

I'd say we should be happy that we can get objects transparent atleast from close distance.

All very interesting.. except the new trees are different than the ones that already existed.   If no one wishes to look into this then just say so.  But this out of hand dismissal of a problem is one reason why once the crystals are gone there will not be any more purchased.

I simply elaborated on his dismissal with additional screenshots.  I will send a complaint to admin, however.   And I will submit a ticket to support since it's apparent the forum is not the venue to address problems.  But do not confuse disagreement with complaint.  If moderators cannot abide being disagreed with then perhaps there's another problem to be addressed.

 

 

Have you even looked at the screenshots.   Have you taken a shaft out to the spots detailed in the screenshots and seen for yourself. 

 

I have had players come to the maps and pointed out the same thing and they are all stumped and shocked as well.  If you would care to show me trees on a map that existed before these map updates that are like the ones in the screenshots.. I am more than happy to look for myself and not dismiss it out of hand.

Now, as I said in my previous post: If you are near the trees (or as I call them - bushes), they'll be transparent. If you are far away, they will not be (and actually that's good, we shouldn't expect Shaft to be a multifunctional all-seeing device)

Yes, you are right that with the maps update new trees were added to some maps, other removed, etc. etc. What I mean is, the way such trees react to Shaft hasn't been changed at all.

Not sure if this is supposed to sound frightening, but all I can say is - noone is obliged to buy crystals

Of course you can disagree with anyone you want. However, what you said in your first post is basically asking why G closed your topic, which is basically discussing moderators' actions, which is rule 2.18. That's what I meant :)

Shocked by the fact new trees were added with the map update, or shocked by the fact that if you are far away from the trees, you can't see through them with Shaft?

Just to let you know, tree props are absolutely the same ones used on maps before the update. It's just that after the update new trees were added to different maps, ordered in different way, different positions and so on. But they are the same props.

 

I am more than happy to look for myself and not dismiss it out of hand.
