Do you feel safe using your main Account in the Forum

Hi everyone, I am sure you know who I am.

Many players use there alt accounts on this forum, and this is mine, I have always taken pride in using my main Account in this forum and luckily have never been banned, I have had a few warnings. but I have tried very hard to follow all of Tankis rules.

Unfortunately I see many players getting bans for trivial little things. Each time I question how much risk I take in any post I write or reply to with my main in this forum.

Do you feel the same way as I, where is the line, it often seems to be a judgement call that is dependant on a point of view, one mod may be fine with the post while another may find a problem with it, the line is difficult to see at many times and there are other reasons for punishment as well.

Granted there are several players who use alt accounts here for purely malicious purposes and I find they get off way to easy, their main accounts should get the punishment and the alt accounts

should be deleted on the spot.

I would like to hear from members of the forum to see how you feel about using your main accounts in this forum.

One suggestion I would have is to make it only possible for members of Warrant officer one or above able to log into forum, this would make the use of alts for malicious behaviour stop quite dramatically.

Please stay within the boundaries of the Tanki rules when responding to this topic as I am interested in a quality discussion even if you use your alt accounts.

Many players use alts as they're far too scared to use mains (due to bans). This is rising and you can see how many alts are present rather than mains. I myself don't dislike the use of alts, as people would prefer to preserve their main accounts for when they urgently need to communicate in battle. As much as I'd love to elaborate, I can't.

This is my main account. I dont have an alt....I dont intend to violate rules or perform malicious behaviour which might result in bans....so therefore, I feel safe right now. If for some reason, this main account gets banned or becomes unusable, I think I would just stop playing rather than starting all over again with an alt....I mean it is a game after all....a good game, but still, a game...I think we will all move on to something else after some point of time...so no point being scared to use the main account as long as you stick to the rules...why would you want to break a rule here if you wouldn't break a law in real world...you are still playing against real people right...not AI...?

Vary between my alt and main accounts out of habit, and because I use this account to run my forum game. Though the line for some rules can be difficult to see, it's not too hard really to stick to the rules, and avoid the 'shady patch' of them. No more rule-breaking (whether debatable or not) from me personally, I hope :P

Agreed with everything said there. However, there is stuff being done to sort such problems out. There'll always be an issue in terms of individual mods with differing opinions, since the mods are only human. I do agree that there's room for improvement in terms of more standardised bans, and this is in the process of being discussed, which may lead to improvements to the system. I'm optimistic about the future of the moderation system.

I have nothing to hide so I feel safe. I did make a mistake once that got me banned. Over quoting without a spoiler. But I learned my lesson and obey the rules :)

I use my main one all the time... And im not scared of being banned

One thing i dont like tho is that when you break the rules in forum, you also get banned in game chat/battle chat and that is annoying

I think lots of players thinks if they use there main accounts they will get ban ( if they do something that break rules and they don't know) so they have other accounts to post :) So they are safe o_0 :)

I use alts when banned on main, I actually don't feel safe since 70% of my posts are trolling, the other 20% is helpful posts, the other 10% are opinions.
