There is a great new article/ guide about XP by Goldrock! (you can find it in Press):

http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=203138&do=findComment&comment=3607635

It certainly is a long story but really worth to read it!

A "must" read IMO. -_-

(If you are into XP than ofcourse you already have read Brandybabyxx 's first post on this topic.

and certainly Hogree 's great Guide: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=188485)

Just a short repeat/ reminder for all those paint-offenders (or more blunt "cheating Hy6 threeshots-Tankers") in XP battles:

Basic List of Protections Allowed in XP Battles
M1 Hornet - Max 30% - Tundra, Clay
M1 Wasp - Max 30% - Tundra, Clay
M2 Hornet - Max 20% - Savanna, Sandstone (10% is acceptable too)
M2 Wasp - Max 20% - Savanna, Sandstone
M3 Hornet - NO Protection Paint.
M3 Wasp - Max 10% - Forester/Emerald/Corrosion

XP battles with M3 Hornet noobs overprotected with Tundra or even Prodigi: come on!

Another fine example why we need a XP Battlemode. A Fieldmarshall being proud on his victory while wearing Prodigi on a Wasp M2.

Good game with Remaine and Ellimanted as well as VIP

Nice such a victory CanadaRules, don 't know if you and your team deserved it though.

I happened to be in this batle as well, and I started with Sandstone 20% as you are supposed to when you have a Hornet M2.

Battle starts and yep another culprit of the paint rules. Canada makes up his own rules obviously, what 's in a name.

I asked politely why he was using Prodigi when on a Wasp M2/ Hornet M2 you are only allowed Sandstone or Savanna.

"it doesn 't matter" and another answer I don 't remember. He was asked by others too.

To my surprise he was not asked by Remaine who also happened to be in the opposite team.

He was wearing Needle I think: at least not a paint with protection, he followed the rules. Bravo?

Following the rules as his teammate CanadaRules should have done also!

Why Remaine didn 't ask or even refused to play with a clear culprit is a mistery to me because of this:

Well Remaine, your friend/teammate was wearing Prodigi which is even worse than Tundra.

At that moment everybody was playing by the rules, only Canadarules who refused to change his paint kept wearing Prodigi.

That evening I had my share of derailed XP 's already and was sick of it.

I have the medium M2 kit with Prodigi so I changed my Sandstone to Prodigi and thus lowered myself also as another culprit.

I got asked to about my Prodigi and my simple answer was: "if he wears Prodigi, I wear Prodigi"

At least the game was "balanced" this way.

The battle started and we the Blue Team did well, unfortunately I had to stop and leave the game.

I was doing really well at that moment, which is no surprise if you need three shots to get killed...

Btw. CanadaRules nice answer: http://en.tankiforum...82#entry3644640

Our team was winning when I left (I had the highest D/L, but am a bad flagcaper):

wco3k6.png

Too bad the blue team lost!

Don 't know if the Prodigi of CanadaRules made the difference: but it sure helps to have

a fast flagcaping Wasp who is able to survive two shots, doesn 't it?

We all definitely need a XP battlemode! So these kind of derailed XP 's can 't simply happen anymore.

Just have a look at the many recent posts about this subject in Ideas and Suggestions:

For your information, I was wearing Green. If I had Needle at Lieutenant General, my Railgun would be M3.

And actually, at the beginning of the match, I went around and asked the maximum protection allowed for each hull, since due to the new rebalance, I didn't know if they had changed or not. You know this happened as well. I got no answer regarding the M2 hulls - and since I saw you with Prodigi and RapidJOHN with Digital, I just let it go on.

Since I was one of the people that FOLLOWED the rules despite being in the presence of others who pandered to the lowest denominator and changed their paint to get the advantage, I'd rather you didn't try to slander my name because of what my teammate did. I wasn't the one who posted it everywhere - and that was because it was an improper XP. And let's not forget that when my team were complaining about your team with overprotected paints, I was the one saying "To be fair, we have Prodigi too". I haven't wronged in any way in that XP so don't bring my name up like I did. In fact, since it's you, don't bring my name up in any circumstance. Finally, I'm sure you'd rather I not get into the amount of times you kept on playing despite it being 4 players on our side. Not only that, it was even when there was 4 players on YOUR side. But no, you wouldn't mention that, would you? Course not.

While I appreciate this is just a rant at how people derail XPs, and while I, oddly enough (considering it's you) agree with most of it, including the idea of making the XP battlemode happen, you needn't have linked me to this in such a way, especially considering I wasn't reprehensible for anything.

PS. I don't know what you make of this:

One thing: If the battle says XP/BP+50% or something or XP+20% BP+50% only then you can use protection of the given kind. it is not specified i.e the XP/BP battle of canadarules/Remaine/Lord-of-snipers it is NOT specified. In that case even a M3 hornet may use prodigi.

I don't quite know if that's true. It sounds like a load of rubbish. I'll wait for a more informed XP player to tell me.

^ It is a load of rubbish. If you wanna play with 50% protection name it noob fest, we'll stay away! -_- 2 shots for one tank, thats what XP-k is.

I would be as upset as Lord of Snipers if this happened with me . Well this happens a lot with me too but whats apalling is that a clan leader is doing it. And whats more he's proclaiming himself a saint.

I don't if Remaine knows this but what should be done in this case is that the match should be stopped immediately. If you got members in your team who still don't stop then one player who wants to follow the rules (Remaine here) should take the flag of the opposite team, thereby not letting his team cap

I don't know if he knew that as he isn't a regular xp player.

I did not know that - I'll do that for future XPs. Thank you.

Sam, could you answer some questions about this post? :

  • If you want a teammember to change to an allowed paint and you take the flag of the opposite team, will the opposite team don 't fire at you?
  • How do you let them know of your good intentions? I can imagine they are just going to shoot you, or is "cton" (both teams should have stopped playing at this word) enough?
  • Or do you say something more in Russian?

I love BP more than XP (wasp and rail) because most of the times I win big pro 1v1 with my m2 wasp and wasp is way more dynamic. Hornet now due to update again has a more heavier feel and slower too so I don't advocate of it's exquisiteness

Well if you play with high ranked people, this is quite common practice. So just typing cton and moving your turret from side meaning don't shoot is enough. Some understand simple english like 'I take flag'. I have also used Google translate.

If you really want to play with fair people I suggest you join battles with russians generallissimos. I have found most of them to be very honest.

Plus its very easy to play with them as they are quite skilled. Its one thing to take difficult shots and another to have good team coordination and to be at the right place at the right time. They simply nail that.

yes, there is a small chance that hornet m3 can be 1 shooted

Ya I was so shocked when I was one shotted one time. Guess I'll have to eqip that ugly forester again. .-. Edited by sam131192

I don't like it when people try to talk and play less. Just go play rail and not talk rail :)

If I joined an XP at 2nd Lieutenant with M1 Wasp, M1 Railgun, and Tundra.... would I be accepted?

Would it be different if the Wasp was a Hornet?

BTW I am better with the Wasp

As long as you arent fighting Brigadiers with Railgun M3... I think you should be fine. You might occasionally die in one hit though.

Lol tried my first one today (with a M0 Rail...). I was actually the top score the first match. Then in the second match the Russians asked me to leave, even though I was doing ok...
