been away for 4 days, came back to see lots of positive changes from devs, as usual.  However barring custom names is a huge huge mistake IMO.  And not just for XP/BP players but way way more.

Will try to have a talk to one of them when I get the chance, else we guys will need to find yet another solution for the good sport that keeps us coming back to this game we all enjoy in 1 way or another or many.

edit: nvm the above, just got news of something coming up for you guys, will wait for devs to make official announcement ;)

I agree with you, but it may well be a (big) temporarily nuisance:

GOOD NEWS for those who play in formats!

We are already working on adding the support for formats in PRO battles. Soon, you will be able to determine which hulls, turrets and paints can be used in the specific battle. We'll keep you updated.

If the above is true, XP is in the clear and even much more than that!

Finally a true ending to XP ruining! :)

:D you have already made the edit... :D

3 Days with no XP... it might not be much for you devs, but for us players it's a lot.

#TankiOnlineIsGoingDownhill

Y U no start an XP battle club on the forum? Create a topic, get people to join, add them to a Skype conference and organise closed XP battles at a certain time every day. And don't forget to invite me  :P

Devs killed XP/BP for like half of the community with this update... made it perfect for some while making it inaccessible for others... SMH

+.

I'm format-less until they add something else to change it, or until I get a better paint.

First a huge compliment for TO: the format battles are just great!

One of the best updates till now.

Still I believe there is some room for improvement:

Really like that only M2 and M3 hulls are allowed.

Having a M2 Hornet and certainly a Wasp M2 means that a Tanker already has quite a bit of experience

and can compete, if skilled enough, with M3 's.

Ofcourse M3 's players will normally be better because every aspect of M3 equipment is a bit faster

and they have (way) more experience, but I think the more skilled M2 XP/BP players can do well.

A nice possibilty for M2 XP/BP players is to gain more skills in DM XP/BP 's

where you don 't annoy any M3 player: in the contrary, they do like your slower reload and speed....

That 's why M1 hulls simply can 't compete due to lack of the Tankers experience and

ofcourse huge M1 equipment shortcomings compared to M2/M3 equipment in XP/BP.

They would simply weaken a team too much:

with the exception of again the DM XP/BP battles where you are most welcomed "cannon fodder"!

A nice solution IMO might be "Junior" XP/BP battles where only M1 hulls are allowed.

Certainly if Tankers buy a Pro Battle pass now, it should IMO include the possibility of fighting in Format Battles.

It 's just ridiculous IMO that a lower ranked Tanker has to pay the full 5000 crystals for a pass that doesn 't

give them all the possibilities we higher ranked Tankers can enjoy.

TO plz. find a way to fix this inequality, that 's only fair (business...)!

HP/Protection:

Hornet M2  138.5

Wasp M2    136.0

This is already said before many times: why can 't Hornet M2 's also wear the same

protective paints like the Wasp M2?

The Wasp M2 has even less protection: so a big question mark on this one!

Plz. apply the same paint rules on the Wasp M2 ánd the Hornet M2.

Personally I don 't want Tundra (30%) to be allowed: a Hornet M2 with Tundra that picks up a DD

could cause troubles for a M2 Rail.

But I don 't see any problem with a Hornet M2 wearing 10% paints like Emerald, Corrosion or the cheap Forester paint.

If Tanki would allow these 10% paints on the Hornet M2 it would only cost a Tanker 500 crystals for Forester and your

ready to do battle!

Auto-aim

Yup...I still think the effect is ridiculously strong and does have a strong negative effect

on especially light hull gameplay.

In a Format Battle like XP we all have the same problem, so in a way I can live with auto-aim in that case.

You flip me, I flip you etc.

Still you shouldn 't flip that much: flipping randomly interrupts with the skilled and balanced gameplay that

a Format Battle should be in my view and I have always assumed that was TO 's view also...

In regular gameplay the auto-aim is even worse!

For example I had a "nice" battle this morning where the new kind of mult completely devastated our team.

Equipped with a Hammer this guy was only busy with shooting his "own" team light hulls.

He flipped my Hornet M2 (alt.account) completely three times so I had enough of it and I left.

In a very "boiling" state, but what can you do about it?

************************

That 's about it. Let 's go XP again! ;)

yes,but that happens rare

Even if it only happens once, it is one time too many.

Plenty of the Hornet M2 's used Tundra in the former unofficial XP/BP 's,

many of them knowing that it was against the (non-official at that time) paint-rules.

So I don 't feel sorry at all that they can 't enter XP 's with Tundra now,

but as I already wrote in my post above I don 't get it why TO doesn 't allow those

Hornet M2 users to wear a 10% Railpaint like Forester.

This group of players, don 't know the size, is not able to play XP/BP now because

of that now obsolete 20% rule (Sandstone, Savanna) and I think that 's bad.

We need as many Format players as we can get:

so TO loosen up a bit! :)

I agree. If they added such a strict limit on paints that can be used in official XP battles, then they need to add new paints, which will be fairly cheap and will have only Railgun resistance, specifically for format battles. And, as an option, they could add a "rent" option, so that you can pay a small sum and "rent" a protection paint for that one battle, similat to the way you used to be able to pay 500 for one PRO battle instead of paying the 5000 for a month pass.
