For some reason they made it that way. M2 Wasps can use 10% paints.

No. If you try to turn on MUs while setting an XP/BP format, it will automatically remove the format setting.

So, Ive noticed that I just cant quite keep up with people in xp/bp battles. I join a 1 hr battle at the beginning, but still end in 5th place, with like 400 less points than first place on my team. I use bp, with corrosion, so I am sometimes a 1 hit from m3 rail. I have a feeling that is part of the problem, but I still do not know what to do better. If im playing xp/bp, its normally Polygon CP or Desert DM if theres a good once going on, and sometimes a CTF. Any suggestions?

Play CTF. If you keep messing about in Polygon CP, you're going to stay at the mediocre level you are now, while everybody around you dominates. If you want to get better at format battles - get out of CP and play something more skill-dependent like Bridges/Sandbox/Barda CTF

Train yourself in monte carlo (Excellent to train) and sandbox CTFs .

Well , Don't go Polygon CPs .

Look at my posts above. I entered the same battle right after my post at 7:14, so the battle was less than 2 hours. Around 100 minutes.

Nice. I've been struggling with what I should do after ranking. I had a friend invite me to the original battle and it was just the two of us against one on the other team (I just sat and chatted with them while the other two went at it). After they left and a new round started it suddenly filled up for some reason. I kind of had to go from being a total n00b with Rail to actually learning how to use it in mere minutes.

 

I use mouse controls and aiming with Rail is just miserable (it's very slow to turn compared to something like Firebird or Twins), but, I finally figured out a way to make it work reasonably well.

Just play in CTF mode. You will get better with time  ;)

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go play Polygon CP or Parma at your level. Go play Sandbox, Red Alert, Island etc. ;)

Also, do not camp with Wasp.
