At what point does it say "link corrupted"?

 

Have you tried clicking on the "Lost nickname or password" button? By any chance is it the link you were emailed that says is corrupted? If so, make sure you paste in the whole link. Some email clients may wrap the link onto the next line and when you click on it, won't take the whole link, so instead try copy and pasting the link into your browser, rather than clicking on it in your email.
