A friend told me about new laws in Europe, here the link (traslate, are in spanish), this are going to affect tanki?

Link: http://www.3djuegos.com/noticia/140758/0/comision-europea/videojuegos-free-to-play/no-incluir-transacciones/

A part of first paragraph:

Neven Mimica, commissioner for consumer policy at the European Commission, has been commissioned to present the conclusions of why it has come to the consensus that the titles free-to-play should not include transactions within the application.

I dont know if this law are 100% real, but is it is, will this affect tanki? What do you think?

That`s impossible,if transactions would be removed, then how would the game industry survive?More than 80% of the games are completely free to play

Yes, if there is no pay, many games will go down, whatever Idk if it apply only for apps (google play, android market, etc) I investigate and this law, now are only in process. Edited by rr123of

Sometimes. If its legit, then it might be affected. But that law is for mobile apps I guess, since some mobile apps annoy us by telling that it is free, at the app store but asks for in-app purchases after installation.

Its about in-app purchases using credit card, some childs uses their parents credit card to do in-game purchasements.

I suppose if something serious happens, our lawyers will be ready and provide you with detailed information.

PS it sounds a lot like they want to prohibit transactions between players, a feature that we don't have in Tanki.

In england they discussed apps  and games that said they were free and then when you joined but you had to pay to unlock certain features, where as here you can unlock everything without paying if you choose to, its just a little slower; so I think you will be ok.

The only reason it was discussed was children were borrowing parents credit cards and then spending literally £1000's one 5 year old spent £1800 gbp about $2500 usd on a free game but as yet nothing has gone any further in court or with the law makers

I think everyone is misunderstood, from what i read i gathered that the law prohibits games from marketing there game as free when, in fact there are purchases involved (including in-game purchases) so all tanki would have to omit is the phrase 'free to play' from advertising and general description and they should be fine... Not much of a big deal if you ask me, and to answer your question, no it wont affect tanki in terms of player experience
