Ok, the reason i picked tanki over WOT was hecause you didnt need to download any files, you just open your browser and play.

QUITE ALOT OF PEOPLE WONT BE ABLE TO INSTALL CONTENT NEEDED FOR UBITY GAMES. THIS IS WHAT MAKES TANKI UNIQUE.

Nothing wrong with Flash Player but it is at the end of its lifespan and possibilties.

Adobe will eventually stop supporting it and so it is time to look further.

Much better to do a transition now, than to wait till the last possible moment and

risk the chance of getting obsolete yourself.

TO, good choice!

it's a good point: players could play TO with Unity plug-in and also with flash player at the same time ? I mean ... in the same server (in the same battle !) some players play with Unity and others play with flash ?
Or ... when you release the new version of TO every player must download the new client / plug-in ?

agree

i got a chromebook which runs NaCI,same thing as Unity web player, but for some reason i cannot play unity games

So the devs have  the ultimate opportunity to make the graphics look awesome and realistic - and they won't do it. Look up Contract Wars to see just how good Unity Web Player can be. And the tanki devs are trying to keep teh game looking the same? What a disaster.

yeah the graphics of contract wars are great! But i think that the graphics which are now in this game is better because when i play contract wars i get very low fps at high settings, unlike this game...

Yet another CW player, cool! I have the same IGN there as here - feel free to look me up. The graphics for that game are orders of magnitude greater than tanki's - an in between solution for the next generation of tanki would be nice

Unity is in somewhat good and bad.

GOOD NEWS:

- Unity supports Android, Google Chrome, Fire Fox, IOS, Safari, PS3, Apple, and etc., (which will help the developers create TO on our mobile devices and other consoles).

- More people use Unity than Flash for their online games. As soon as tanki switches to Unity, more people will hear about TO and it will become much more popular.

- There will be a slight improvement in FPS while you're playing.

BAD NEWS:

-Unity requires download which not many people are able to do on their computers. (I'm pretty sure they fixed that, so more of you could download it now.)

----That's pretty much it, not that much of bad news at all.

P.S. The graphics that you see in the videos will not be in the game, it's just a PROTOTYPE that's being used for the testing, so don't freak out, everything will stay the same.

Uh oh. I'm running Linux, I don't think Unity is compatible. D:

Aside from the potential for me to not be able to play in the future (until I buy a new computer) - it looks cool. :)

Unity is fully compatible with Windows Linux and Mac!

Don't worry brandy :3 :3 :3
