Players purposely generating lag?

Has anyone noticed that sometimes you will only encounter lag effects with certain enemy players, and then only when you are in contest with them?  You sneak up and they are running as smooth as ice.  You attack and suddenly they are bouncing around like a butterfly.  Lag City.    

 

 

Is it just my imagination or does lag sometimes just seem too "convenient"?  Clients dropping packets on purpose?

No, most times, that one particular player lags for some reason or another, i.e. bad internet connection, bad ping, low fps, etc. Besides, unless you were the most formidable player on your team, there would be no reason for that player to target you for no specific reason.

That would probably make your gameplay sucky. When I play with shaft against laggy people, it's so hard to aim, sometimes they just rise out of the ground, gives me the creeps, like they're zombies.

Yes, and then when my shot is halfway through, he goes underground and my shot hits a wall -.- Then he pops back up.

If you feel that some specific player uses some kind of software to generate lags affecting the gameplay, you can report him as a violator and the moderators will study the setuation and make the right decision!
