Moving on from the fastest turret :) but still on topic - ok Mods and rockers - your views please.

Is it acceptable to go easy on the 1st few ( total strangers) joining a CTF battle, if I have created the battle on a less popular map that I like and know my way about?

If I play noobish so peeps don't leave and maybe I let the first 1 or 2  flags get returned - would it be seen as power levelling.

yes I just jeep healing those mammoths and earn xp fast

You better focus on the light hulls, give you same amount of XP but because they have less health, you can heal them up to 100% faster and get XP faster too. You get the same amount of XP for healing a wasp from 1% to 100% as for a mammoth from 1% to 100%.

Players who use power leveling to gain rank are not developing their skills as much as players who play according to the rules.  Thus, when they get to high rank they are weak players.

I see many players at high ranks who can't even drive well...they keep bumping into walls, and they keep missing things when they shoot.

They get low scores.  I imagine the game isn't much fun for them.

It is better to EARN your points in fair battles.

I often seek games where I am playing against higher ranks because even though my score is lower, I learn more.  Playing against higher ranks pushes you to develop skills faster.

Skill gained from experience in real battles is worth more than an upgraded tank.

When I learn a new skill, something I couldn't do before, I find that more satisfying than simply getting a higher rank.

Finally, no one is impressed by your rank if you can't play very well.

I think what you are doing is just clever strategy, not illegal power leveling.

I have also created some of the less popular maps because I am more familiar with them, which gives me an advantage.

Power level is illegal only because the administration wants to be that way. They want you to try earn crystals, and then, if you are not in the 10 percentil top players, you will realize that to improve you have to buy crystals or get beated often by better equiped players. In that point, a lot of guys just quit or buy, simple as that. TO is a business, they need money to survive (which is correct, of course).

There are some side effects of power leveling, like inflated ratings but the main reason is what i mentioned.

Perse, power leveling it's not totally bad if you don't affect other players (who cares if you spend hours shooting mults? is your time anyway), but if no one buy, TO dies and we all lose, so yes, it's illegal.

Don't try to level up fast, you'll face stronger/more skilled opponents. That's not a good idea if you are under equiped.

well,i guess ive gotten my answers, pretty much what i expected, power leveling is "somewhat" bad, thanks to you guys ive gotten a new hobby, buying kits, smp cards and drugs,it makes the game much more interesting when you drug endlessly throughout an entire battle not to talk when your team mates do thesame and the other team is like wtf. B).For those who say that those who power-level dont have skills i would like to face them in battle privately,we will get to see who then is the real noob. .I used to play fairly before the kits came in( i wasnt always that bad),the situation then changed and i had to cope, following some certain logic it is much more gratifying to be a noob-drugger than to power-level in perfect tranquility during hard times. ;) Thank you guys for spending some of your valuable time on answering this topic, sincerely.

Hmm, well it is both a good and bad thing in my opinion. You power level up to a high rank and if you don't know how to turn your turret or play very well, well that's your fault and you become easy fodder for experienced players. That's good for the pro players, unless they are the ones who get stuck with you on their team. The high ranked players who power level to mult on teams, don't even get me started. How can you just sit there hour after hour and not do a single thing for your team and hope they lose on purpose? Cheaters have me wanting to pull my hair out when i see them, it disgust's me. No honor or integrity at all for the game or other players who work hard to earn their crystals or spend their real money on drugs trying to win. Other than that, sometimes people power level just because at lower levels the battles just aren't that interesting or in their league. Maybe they just want to get to a specific level to buy a kit they wanted or so the battles get more interesting and when they drug, people actually drug back and when they buy drug's, that makes Tanki money which is a good thing.
