Yes, I've posted in the Dev Threads and feedback, but just to see how many of the forumers like this

What I want are extra controls for a tank, right now, the tanks can only go right, left, forward, and backwards. Is it possible for your to have a set of two more buttons to enable strafing? (the quick movement of a tank left to right, kind of like boosting, but sideways)

for arrow key users: R-Shift, R-Ctrl
for WASD users: L-Shift, R button

, with the drifting effect of hornet, this could add a lot more fun gameplay. Also, if possible, could be apply a size transformation to the maps and visually speed up tanks? Added on with strafing, this could make gameplay a lot more interesting, now you can dodge short range weapons but the extra speed could make you vulnerable to flipping. The distance/speed/how often of the strafing could increase as you upgrade your tank.

It says M4 in the title because if this can't be implemented into normal tanks, then perhaps there can be a new tank that has just a bit better stats than m3, perhaps like + 5 hp, + .3 speed, etc. and has these abilities

There is already something similar in the game, it's called Micro-Upgrades. You can upgrade your m3 to m3.75 with it.

Its called Micro Upgrades but it will cost you so i recomend you never use the speed up unless if your desperate for that weapon and if its an m3 weapon

So what you're asking for is a variant of a ''dash?'' Kind of like the other games, where you double-tap forward, and your tank jumps forward a bit, or in this case, gets a temporary speed spike.

Remember, this is just my opinion:

No, it would ruin gameplay. And that's putting it mildly.

Tanks dont dash-.- dont give bad ideas .. we have a big amount of them which are implemented, so if you are a railgun and shoot a wasp or hornet and he/she dashes , u miss ofcourse and as we all know when a rail misses it is extremly dangerous to the rail user and his team

Dont post silly ideas and if you have any then post them in the Ideas and Suggestions topic

Seriously? This is almost the same as Mirco-upgrades,and since a lot of players hate MUs then they would even hate this one more

No... it's not MUs... guys, it's a short small dash to the left or right, and this would make gameplay more interesting because you need more skill. Gee, there's only drugging nowadays, I don't see skill anywhere. It's already in the tank, you don't need to buy anything...

Your idea would be a much better fit on a racing game or whatnot. The problem is this game is a shooter-game.

These are tanks, lol. Use your own skills on maneuvering instead of trying to rely on other perks. Wasn't the physics update supposed to differentiate tanks from one another because they were all the same?

Adding this thing to every tank would bring some elements of that back.

I would only approve of your idea if it was limited to ONE tank, meaning Tanki Online would have to make a whole new hull with this ability. That way, it'd bring about another option of gameplay. Understand what I'm saying?

And for the skills part. The skill is there, it's just tough to notice when drugging is everywhere. Ever notice how slick people are with the light hulls, sneaking around undetected? Yep, that takes skill.

See how accurate those snipers are? Yep, that's skill. See how good that Isida is at healing? Yep, that's skill.

If you still can't see skill, may I suggest joining a Pro-battle?

ok, only slick people have skill, yes, oh wow you just got shot by a skillful shaft? No, that doesn't take skill, you were just unlucky that the shaft was pointing at you, a skillful shaft will never let anyone get their flag or cap their flag, not go aiming at random people for points like what I always see. And it's impossible to miss with shaft... And Isida, wow, gee, much healing, so powerful, very automatic. Sure it might take a little skill to know how to maintain your team as an isida and a bit more skill to attack freeze and firebirds but seriously, gameplay is too slow and the crowded maps don't really give you much of a true fighting experience

@Greenleaf: I was talking about the person using the Shaft. It actually does take skill at aiming. Also, even if you have the most skillful Shaft user there is, it is not a guaranteed point that absolutely nobody can get to the flag. Another tank can use their skills to bypass the Shaft-security system. And then again you have the Shaft's reload, which means that no matter how hard it tries, it can only eliminate a limited amount of opponents especially if they arrive in bulk. So in conclusion,  your statement about how a skillful Shaft would never let anyone get their flag or cap their flag a complete exaggeration.

Furthermore, sometimes it is good for a Shaft to aim at ''random'' opponents. It keeps the general population of the opposing team at bay, since nobody wants to get shot. And then you rely on teammates to plug in the nooks and crannies to make sure nobody can sneak in. That's a great defense right there, whereas the Shaft has done its job, which takes skill at aiming for tanks, since others have skills too and would try to feign/dodge the shots, so the Shaft has to be smart and time their shots right. Besides, you have to calculate the lesser vision a Shaft has, and the distance. The Shaft has to know where to look, and when to look, not to mention predict whether or not an opponent is worth going for.

It is possible to miss with Shaft. ''Impossible to miss with Shaft,'' another exaggeration. True, they have the scope, but that doesn't guarantee a hit. Furthermore, it isn't guaranteed to kill. The Shaft scope, as you know, wobbles a bit, making especially ranged attacks sometimes difficult to achieve, especially when you're aiming at a smaller tank such as a Wasp or Hornet.

Believe me, it does take skill to use an Isida effectively. If you know who to heal, how much to heal, and where to go, not to mention how to do your job, you will benefit your team drastically. Not to mention Isidas with light tanks must maneuver through the front lines to keep their allies healthy and battle-ready, while avoiding damage themselves, and timing when to attack, whether an enemy is ripe for the kill.

The gameplay is only too slow if you don't notice what is around you and what you need to do. An experienced tank will know that the field is always dynamic, changing constantly, especially with the new update where you can change equipment. You must always be on your toes, observing, and planning out your next move. I assume you don't just go charging into battle mindlessly, unless that is some part of a mastermind plan?

As for the maps, I just played a battle today and it seems just fine, really. If you really can't deal with it, I'll suggest for you to move on to bigger maps, such as Wolfenstein, or Deck-9. It's always good to try new things instead of replaying the old ones, where you'll get tired of them, no? Devs added all of those maps for a reason, so you won't get bored.

So with that said, there is really no reason to add a perk such as how you get a little ''dash'' or ''speed boost.'' Besides, how exactly would that make gameplay more interesting? Would it make gameplay more funny, to see a Mammoth try to hop up and down? Unless it's the sole ability of a new tank, this idea really isn't needed. Furthermore, it would mess up gameplay in a way how if you accidentally double tapped forward, you'd unwillingly hop forward, expose yourself, and probably get shot. It would just introduce a whole barrage of problems, no matter how good you see it as of now.

Skill in this game... All the skills u need to play in this game any 8 year old has. The rest is how much money you waste on a browser game, and how many years of your life you spend playing. The only actual strategy is flanking noobs. and of course, calculating that moment to steal the kill with rail/thunder. Which is much harder with rail, which tanki has basically nerfed to the point of no return.
