(Un)balanced turrets

Recommended Posts

There are a lot of players in game that often say something like: "This is OP turret!" or "It's owning!"

Actually, I think that some guns ARE a bit more powerful than others. For example, why is freeze cheaper than firebird? Maybe because you need more skills to master firebird. Is it true? Why are some turrets, that are EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE, more popular on battlefield? It's a circle of 9 turrets. They are all "balanced". I think it should be like this: one turret must have 4 "counters" and 4 turrets that can beat easier. But, as you can see, some turrets are have a way much counters than others. It is slightly unfair. I need some opinions of more experienced PLAYERS if I am at least partly right. Sorry for "words parsimony", but I haven't much time. Share your opinions if you "get the point" ;)

Thank you!

Players admire turrets by saying 'OP' Firebird is famous for being called 'OP' Its just that it can easily destroy tanks. Mainly due to it's after-burn feature. That makes it look OP. Freeze is balanced compared to fire because it has more damage. Firebird having the after-burn feature, freeze is given more damage.

Railgun and shaft are also balanced. Railgun is known for being a 'king' turret mainly because of it's massive damage and penetration power. Players prefer Railgun more than Shaft for sniping purposes. Railgun given more penetrating power while shaft is given more damage. The reload time doesn't differ much. hence balanced.

Twins and ricochet are both plasma guns. Twins have less reload time and less damage while ricochet has more damage and a higher reload time. You can destroy easily with twins due to it's reload period and it has better recoil than ricochet. Killing by ricochet is also pretty easy due to it's high damage compared to twins.

Thunder and Smoky are also balanced. Thunder having more damage and higher reload time while smoky having very less damage, low reload period. Since smoky has low damage, it is given it's 'critical hit' feature. Which makes both of the turrets balanced.

Thunder is very OP but because there is alot of thunder protection paints , u can say its useless unless you MU it and thank god the devs gave us 50 % off micro which I generously spent around 40 k micro updating thunder m3 and now its a beast even against druggers with rustle and kit paints

Yea, Dark, you are right. For all long and medium ranges - depends on skill, and for all close ranges - depends on distance and approach tactic that is really easy to figure out ;)
