[Guide] Graph Statistics on Best Way to MU rail and hornet m3

Intro

This guide is to give you a clear graphic vision on What To MU and What to MU first on XP comob (rail m3 and hornet m3 and paint)

Since the MU 50% discount is coming, so it will help you on decision making if you use Rail and Hornet M3.

Note: if you use M2-M0 combo, it is better to save for M3 first before MU, as it is cheaper and better to get M3 than to get M2 fully MU-ed.

Study Method I Use

I use Python programming language and MatPlotLib to help visualization the table datas of MU parameters from Railgun M3 and Hornet M3;

Since MU is quite expensive, so we will focus on the most important MU parameters. We Don't Use Speed-up here, and we just wait for each step, as it is already expensive without speed up.

No speed-up cost is counted in the graph study.

For railgun M3, we focus on

  * Damage

  * Impact Force

  * Reload

  * Penetration

  ( * Rotation speed of rail is not as important as above 4)

For hornet M3, we focus on

  * protection health

  * max speed

  * power

  (* weight is good but not as important as for wasp users)

  (* rotate speed is actually bad in my opinion, as I tried in test server, it is hard to pass through blocks in Monte Carlo, if turning speed is too sensitive to turn correct amount )

Graph Statistics

Overview, and how to read the graph.

Graph 1: (each parameter: total cost of MU to reach each steps vs percentage of increase based on normal M3 rail hornet )

xp_mu_guide_zps80f53fff.png

In above Graph 1,

The horizontal X axis represent percentage of increase.

The vertical Y axis represent total cost of reaching each step of MU

The dots represent the step of MU for each parameter

The number on dot indicate total cost for reaching that MU step (no speed-up button used)

The Green Line of Graph 1: --- hornet M3 health MU at each dot step

M3 hornet is 167 health, fully MU-ed health is 210, so total is 25% increase after fully MU-ed, (210-167)/167 = 25.7%

M3 hornet health MU total cost to reach 25th step is 136 680 (136k) crystal without speedup button.

while if you short of crystal, then MU to 18% increase just cost 43 840 (43k) crystal, which is 1/3 of total price for 2/3 increase effect.

The Purple Line of Graph 1: -- Rail M3 penetration MU at each dot step

M3 rail penetration is 50%, fully MU-ed penetration is 61%, so total is 22% increase after fully MU-ed (61-50)/50 = 22%

M3 rail penetration MU total cost to reach 25th step is 175 041 (175k) crystal without speedup button.

while if you short of crystal, then MU to 15% increase just cost 55 778 (55k) crystal, which is 1/3 of total price for 2/3 increase effect.

As you can conclude from the above graph 1:

  * Hornet M3 health and Rail M3 penetraion are Relative Cheap and Effect Micro Upgrades

  * Rail M3 impact force and damage are Useful MU, but cost most

  * Hornet M3 power is cheap MU, but not much increase compared to above 4 parameters, but useful if you have MU-ed above to 2/3 way

  * Rail M3 Reload is not much change and only MU if you have MU-ed above
  * Hornet M3 speed is expensive and not much change without MU

What I MU-ed for my hornet rail M3 combo,

I have MU-ed fully Damange, Penetration, then fully MU-ed Reload, as weapon first,

Then I MU-ed hornet M3 health, and Rail M3 impact.

Tips:

  * First, MU at least 8 steps of hornet M3 health, then even fully MU-ed rail m3 damage hardly kill it in 1 shot.

  * Then MU rail M3 damage to fully if possible

  * then Penetration and Reload

  * then impact force and rest health

  * then hornet M3 power for push others and fast start run.

if you can achive above, it is already quite expensive, but worthy it.

It is possible for free player, like me, to achieve fully MU if you have only M3 rail and M3 hornet and nothing else. if you bought a lot of guns and hulls, then good luck on savings.

Graphic 2: Paint I used and MU for Paints (total cost for reach each step vs percent added to protection)

I have 3 paints:

  * Needle paint for smoky protection, (1 shot been killed is impossible now)

  * Inferno paint for freeze druggers protection

  * Winter paint for thunder and shaft (my 1st paint)

paint_all_zps6b33aec0.png

How to read Graph 2:

  * Fire, Freeze, Twin protection are for Inferno paint

  * Shaft, Rico protection are for Needle paint (shaft = shaft of needle paint)

  * Thunder, Winter protection are for Winter paint (winter= shaft of winter paint)

  * horizontal x axis are percent of protection the paint can achieve for that parameter

  * vertical y axis are total cost for reaching each step

  * dots are each step of parameter MU

  * number on dots are the total cost for reaching that dot step of MU parameter

As you can see

  * Winter Shaft protection and Inferno Freeze protection are cheapest to reach 50% protection, since they all start from 40%, in practice, no need MU if existing protection is over 40%

  * Needle shaft protection and Inferno Fire protection are most effective MU, help you boost protection from around 30% to 50%, but it cost a lot, so MU to 1/3 way is enough for most situation, like 35% to 40%, which cost just 36k to 39k, compare to full MU cost of 232k-335k.

  * Needle rico protection and Winter thunder protection are effective but relative expensive, so consider the cost, it is better to Buy Clay paint at discount time if you really hate that 2. I found 20% thunder protection from winter and 20% rico protection from needle is good enough if you have skills to deal with thunder and rico

  * twin protection from inferno paint is not that important for rail hornet users, since we have 1 shot kill and speed, it is good for freeze on titan users

Each MU parameter in Graph:

Just MU fully for rail damage and penetration.

Rail M3 Reload

100% through, cost 43k

Guide on MU Speed-up Button during 50% MU discount time

"Speed-Up Button or No Speed-up Button is a question - So When to Use Speed-up Button"

Table Guide to those big Buyer during 50% mu discount,

simple: it is totally worth it only if you fully MU your item.

Table Guide to those Non-buyer or small Buyer during 50% mu discount,

read this if you have at least 250k crystal, and you have m3 turret to micro-upgrade,

and you can do your own math for those gun or hulls following the table format

a simple summary is that,

1. it is good for those M3 user who want to MU their gun

2. if you want to MU your M3 hornet health for example, the Speed-up cost always more than the MU cost, so it Make No Economical Saving to do that during this discount time

3. it is only save you enonomically if Speed-up cost is cheaper than MU cost, and you need consider their difference in total,so total speed up cost is cheaper than MU cost, then that is the item MU level you should aim for.

or it is still like you need to pay for MU speedup, comparing do some nights of waiting for MU.

4. you need have a big saving of 250k crystal, or it is not worth it to buy speed-up in during this discount

5. you need to have enough crystal saving and fully MU your gun to level 18-22 at least depending on when the total speedup cost cheaper than mu cost, or it is not worth it to buy speed-up during this discount

here is my study based on M3 rail,

For M3 rail damage MU,

at first level 1-9, the cost of the MU is more than the cost of Speed-up, from 10 MU level, speed-up is cheaper than cost of MU,

if you sum up the cost difference, the 3rd columne shows level 10 from, the speed-up is getting cheaper and cheaper relative to cost of MU,

that when the 50% discount make sense to you, basically, it is same as buy MU at full price and without waiting time.

the 4th, 5th colume shows the total cost sum-up of MU and speedup for reaching each level of damage.

at level 23, total cost of MU is 262 561, total cost of SpeedUp is 227776 in term of full price,

so with 50% discount, from level 0 of M3 rail damage,

total price using the speedup in 50% discount period: (262 561+227 776) * 50% = 245 168 crystal

total price without speedup (means total 23 nights of waiting after each MU) in normal day with full price: 262 561

saving is 262 561 - 245 168 = 17 392 crystal during 50% MU discount, + no 23 nights of waiting time

(means the 6th colume gree number -34 785 * 50% =  17 392 crystal)

so it make sense to fully MU your M3 rail damage on that day and click the speedup,

so for most free player with big crystal saving like me (404k for my saving),

this discount actually mainly means no waiting time for MU, and a bit saving like 17k for each fully MU.

------------

Note,

it only make sense for saving, if you can reach MU level 18 with your saving,

if you can't reach level 18 for m3 rail damange,it is more economical for you to MU each level each day to slowly reach level 18 and above,

the yellow hightlight there.

rail_mu_01_zpsc5b59ff7.png

another table for M3 rail reload and penetration.

so you can see, M3 rail Reload MU during 50% MU discount will cost extra (327 crystal*50%)=163crystal comparing to normal waiting MU.

but you save 11 nights of waiting time. so still worth it if you can fully reach level 11.

if you can't fully reach 11, then it is better to wait 11 night to do MU seperatly,

as if you only reach level 10, you actually paid (2360 crystal*50%)=1180 crsytal more comparing to normal waiting MU method

rail_mu_02_zps07ad34a1.png

for M3 rail penetration, same as damage, it only make sense to do it during 50% MU discount if you have enough saving to make it to level 22, the yellow hights marks the saving start level.

if you have enough 168k crystal, then you can totally saving for

(-12704*50%)= 6352 crystal + 25 nights of MU wait time.

it depends on you how you justify the waiting time vs extra bit crystal cost.

Wow @wild001 that's just a great job... I can see easily that you worked hard on that and invested much time on it... Good Job! +1

Thanks for the support, I like my rail hornet combo, that is why I study it a lot, do the best to maximize the crystal use. :D

tips for MU discount time,

I have now 10k crystal left, I may MU impact and health again in that discount,

when the discount starts,

  - I will MU impact for rail and health for hornet at same time, click MU and wait 11 hours

  - right after 11 hour, I click MU for impact and health again for next MU, and wait another 12 hours

  - if lucky and with rest crystal, I may MU the 3rd time during 50% discount before the 24 hour expire. :P

so mostly likely, for people with just a little crystal, that method works for saving crystal and do more discount-ed MU without speed-up button,

if you have like 250k crystal, check my above guide for speed-up or not speed-up examining to determine whether it saves time and crystal in total sense or not.
