Why do you people have more respect to Generalissimos?

Title.

 

I started playing Tanki in November 2011, and I have seen that many players have more respect to Generalissimos, and Generalissimos themselves have less respect to players in their rank but more respect to lower ranks.

 

Why is it happening? Why do you players respect Generalissimos more? After all, you don't know how do they got to this rank, many of them didn't get to this rank, but bought the account or stole it.

 

We are all humans, nobody is better than the other just because of his rank, I suggest you to stop respecting Generalissimos more than other ranks, respect them equally, despite that a lot of Generalissimos are young.

 

Really, if you complete with this habit, you will fail in the near future, those with higher positions will make you suck-up for them, so be careful.

Agreed. Personally, I don't respect someone more than someone else because he is a generalissimo but because he's got a higher position or something. But I see many low-ranked players when talking to generalissimos, they talk so kind :rolleyes:

Rank is a standard. As a code of conduct, if not courtesy, lower ranking members are expected to honor higher rank. By honor, I mean trust in their good judgment. Conversely, as a manner of conduct/courtesy, that same standard is to be honored by higher ranking members toward those of lower rank. By this honor, I mean “not to abuse the privilege of their rank”. Trust is the issue at hand. In the midst of a heated battle, when backs are against the wall; those members of lower ranks often look toward higher rank, like, “O.K. what do we do now?” I have witnessed Generalissimos who cannot even turn their turrets, lead an entire team to their deaths. There is no greater satisfaction that any human being can have, than that of helping others. Generalnissmos are respected more generally because they have the proff that they have been playing for a long time and probably know the game better than most other players and ranks lower than them. Its not just about they have m3's.

If you've known the game for a long time but you got banned and you havent been playing constantly, then many peeps will assume you are just a noob, its down to competing in this game or respecting people personally.

 

But you should see some of the other mmo games, its much worse, the disrespect in this community is only a fraction of what you get for those other games.

You're wrong, at least in respect system.

 

First, the main difference between generalissimuses and other ranks players is expirience, or, the time spent playing tanki.

The ge. Players have much more xp than other players(not xp for rank ups), and they know much more about game, game rules, game forum, and other. You can't find easly ge. player flooding, trolling, hacking, necroposting, or breaking rules on other ways. Also, they are very serious, and almost every one ge. player will help admin or mod in forum job.

 

Second, they are respected more because they respect more other players.

Many high ranker's believe them to be, in my minds eye's "not as worthy" as them. I've seen it again and again, not only with Gen's but with other's ranked almost as high as them treating other players that are lower ranked like dirt. Flipping you on purpose, voting you out when there is nothing wrong with your game play and you have a better score then most of them, talking to you like your nothing, crunching you in a corner so you can't do anything.. it's so typical.

It's the same with almost every game i play, always the higher level's talking smack to the lower levels because they can and know there will be little to no retaliation but the low levels still revere them, i don't know why. Now i know it isn't all high ranker's, and lot's of you out there are probably nice to people in general no matter the rank, but there are those that are high on their horse and need to look past rank, because after all, it isn't really that important.  :mellow:

Ya that happened to me billions of times and that is y i hate high rankers a lot. Well sometimes i ask them if they can give me some advice but they only give me on thing and that is saying "Shut up noob".

I see myself as only as good as the current day

sure I have many days of great success & I certainly know how good I am but that can change as some days I loose the edge & need to rethink what went wrong & my game plan

& if ppl ask me for advice I would always give it without looking down at them because they are of a lower rank. :)

 

But don`t always look to Generalissimos for the perfect advice as many lower ranks know in fact far more than they will ever do

that`s not saying that all lissimos are arrogant/ignorant as many do what they can to help others  

I guess it just depends on how mature/grown up they are ;)
