Which is better? Why do you think so?

 

I think Shaft because it has enough power to one-hit light hulls and when you MU, medium hulls, although it has less visibility and mobility.

Rail is better and more popular , but for a "capture the flag" game, shaft is a monster on defence !

I think rail has the upper hand in  TDM  cause of it's better visibility of enemy tanks and the lower reload time though Shaft certainly DOES have the edge when it comes to CTF

Shaft because its easy to get kills in DM and TDM also great defense in CTF. Good for sniping. The CP when uts under your control

Shaft is no where good in CPs, and only works in DMs if the map is big.

Well it all depends on your playing style.

Shaft has higher damage and accuracy,

Rail can fire while moving and higher reload time.

Personally i prefer my shaft + viking.
