I can snipe with Railgun even better than Shaft. For me - for sniping and for everything, Railgun is WAY BETTER than Shaft.

i love rail snipe in polygon.

rail reload faster but damage less than shaft. but shaft have more precision than rail

I can't Snipe with Railgun, but I sure can trick shot with it  B)

Too many prodigis with the dam Med M2 kit. I prefer firebird though :D

Well there isn't exactly a scope for you too snipe with railgun. But i guess shooting with it from distance etc. is sniping

Sure, if it's a real difficult shot I might miss once or twice. At least I have a chance of hitting that tiny sliver of a hull.

Great range of skill levels though. I've seen Warrant Officers with great skill at M1 Shaft and Majors who don't use M2 Shaft effectively.

Well mainly cause those warrant officers use shaft as there primary gun, Some majors just choose to use it for that battle thinking it can help but they aren't as used to it.

Shaft can shoot enemy turrets, that makes it a better sniper. Also, the arcade mode fire makes shaft more deadly when dealing with medium tanks. It can flip people more easily, and when you're drugging, you can fire faster than a railgun.
