can you snipe with railgun just like shaft?

Shaft can shoot enemy turrets, that makes it a better sniper. Also, the arcade mode fire makes shaft more deadly when dealing with medium tanks. It can flip people more easily, and when you're drugging, you can fire faster than a railgun.

You can by some degree. I think Shaft was a better horizontal range (which means better auto-aim) Shaft is also more accurate (Not counting people who do XP and stuff like that. just from a newbie's standpoint) Rail deals a ton of damage but Shaft does even more! And Shaft has a way faster reload time (Arcade shots after the main one) so it would win in a 1VS1. But Rail is way more mobile and can easily circle a Shaft in sniping mode. So they're basically equal to me. But Rail's mobility.......

Sniping with Railgun is something which requires timing and concentration.Railgun is my primary weapon and I love to snipe in Desert DM's and in Poly DM's.

Help me calculate real shot-to shot time for Shaft.

According to wiki, SHaft M4, just after shot, ammo bar depleted:

0.5 sec to exit sniping mode

2.5 sec reload (??!!)

0.5 sec to enter sniping mode

3 sec (1000 energy / 333 energy per sec) to charge fully

= 6.5 sec

 

Comparing to Rail (again - M4, ammo bar empty):
5.58 sec reload

1.06 sec delay before shot

= 6.64 sec

 

Is that right? Shaft can fire faster (full shot) then Railgun?
