T-Jeff wasnt power hungry, rather the opposite. He believed in small national gov and strong state govs. He was reluctant to do the Louisiana Purchase because he didn't believe it was in his constitutional power. It wasnt in his power, but its by far the best real estate deal in the history of the world.

I imagine we'd have a fun time speaking. I personally am rather knowledgeable about political affairs, and have even put my own time in working for the legislative branch of the government. He was making a broad overhead statement, and considering the political representatives I've seen for the last few decades... Well, I could help but give his post an upvote. Partially due to humor, partially due to the blunt honesty.

 

As much as I'd love to host a public forum on the matter, we all must respect the rule regarding political matters. So if anyone should care to continue on the matter with me, please send me a PM!

By "every Olympics Game", are you referring to only basketball and swimming? Those are the two that receive the most media attention after all.  :mellow: Plus, I'm fairly certain we all know which country wins the track-field, cross country running, etc. competitions every four years.
