Hey folk! :)

I'm member of the German Newspaper (as you can see on my Profile) and we are planning to make a Advent calendar, which means that we are going to post an article each day in december.

And what I want you to do is to tell me about your winters, because we are planning to make an articel about "the winters of the world". It'll be very helpful if you answer those following questions:

-What do you do in winter?

-Is there snow in winter?

-Do you prefer winter to other seasons?

-What do you think is the difference between your's and other country's winter?

-What minds do you link to winter?

Please send me the answers in PM or post them here.

Thanks a lot for you all attention, we wish you a wonderful winter

Your German Newspaper Team :)

Um, we have multiple climates, so winters are very different depending on which part of the US you go to. In the North, we have harsh winters, sometimes blizzards and snow up to 6 feet high, in total. But in a place like Florida, an inch of snow causes chaos, wimps.

Oh cool! Nice to see different communities active together.  ^_^

  1. I play outside, all things snow. :D Snowballs, snowmen, (and sometimes snowwomen ) snow forts, snowsledding, snowskiing, snowboarding, and snowshoveling. :P
  2. Duh :P
  3. I like it better than the slush season of Spring.
  4. I don't think there is much difference. It's cold, snowy, and white. :D
  5. If you are asking me what famous people I associate it with....I would have to say George Washington. Why? Well, during the Winter spent in Valley Forge, he played a vital role to boost the morale of the American troops. :)

I know right?? Up here in Minnesota, we shrug and say "eh" at 1 feet of snow.

In mass, we got a good 5-6 feet of snow in one month. February. I did not have school one Tuesday for that entire month.
