Rio - Being on Red Team [CTF]

I noticed that on the newly released map Rio there's already a problem. In my personal opinion, I think red has an advantage. It's easy to get the blue flag and then just run off with it while no one can ever chase you or even see you. Sure, blue could have this too but it's not as great as the red get-away. I was drugging on a Rio match it was 16-1 (blue 16, red 1) when suddenly red made a come back, without using drugs. I had a good team, they had a good team as well but we just couldn't see where they were attacking and getting away with our flag. That right lane on the side of the Rio map for red is a very good place for red to easily come and attack and run out. On the left to the red flag lies a great camping spot for Shafts, Railguns, etc. to camp and snipe you when you're getting their flag.

 

In my opinion, red is just too overpowered on the map, any strategies if you're on blue?

This is true. And for deffending you should use heavy hull with frezer

True, but the red team always comes from multiple directions including the top which makes it hard...

Wow. I didn't not know that. When I play on Rio, I fine that blue has the advantage. Just drive in from the ramp near the high skyscraper and get the flag and go back were you came. Drop on the flag and boom.

Frankly I almost don't play in Rio because my computer lags in it, but I think it's a flop. From what I played - the Red Team really has an advantage.

No, there is everything OK. It's like in Silence on blue team: many people cried that blue team is better and so on, but red team had also very good pluses. This is same. Just try to find them. ;)

I'm pretty sure the map designers took the "overpowered" argument into account when creating this map. :P
