[EDIT] This is the second time I have posted this topic. The first time it was mysteriously "hidden". Not locked, or banned, but hidden. This topic is not against the rules. By hiding it, instead of locking it, whichever mod hid it is admitting the same. This post is true, and it does not break the forum rules. If you don't like this, mods, say so in a reply. Don't abuse your privileges. Are we clear?

First there was: rebalance. Then the infamous 123. TThen microupgrades. Then another rebalance of shaft, twins, rico, etc. Then this.

Except for maybe rebalance, none of these updates improved game play at all. These were not done with the players in mind. They were done to force buyers to pay more money to maintain their top equipment. For instance, pre re-balance, buyers(and non-buyers too, I miss my M3 : ( ) could and did get a full M3 garage. Problem is, once the buyers bought themselves all the best hulls/guns, they stopped buying. Well, instead of just waiting for new players, or advertising the game too attract new players, the tanki devs had a plan. They did "rebalance". Now all the crystals from the M3s... would hardly get you a good post-rebalance M-3 combo, if even that. Well, tanki devs must have been right. Having been ripped off by rebalance, the buyers promptly bought more crystals to buy the new "OP guns".

Then 123. Someone noticed after rebalance, maybe because tanks killed faster/moved faster, that it was possible for non-buyers to rank up and earn crystals still. Not very easily, but that wasn't going to happen. Not on a tanki dev's watch! So they nerfed the economy to make it extremely difficult to earn enough crystals to get the guns as you ranked up. Basically, to force people to buy to be able to afford more than one gun, or even just that one gun. Eventually, due to the extremely slow rate of progress and widespread complaining(don't say it never works) tanki fixed this a little bit.

Then Microupgrades. Microupgrades at M3 can take days to occur. Fully upgrading an M3 would take months of straight muing, no playing (playing to earn the crystals for MUing would have to be done with another gun, which players pretty much have to buy...). So from here on out I am assuming that players at M3 always use speedups. Fully upgrading an M3 costs millions of crystals. Yet, since it existed, a few players used the MUs, forcing many others to buy crystals to be able to be competitive even, much less retain that buyer equipment dominance. Once again: tanki makes it harder to be competitive to force more people to buy or previous buyers to buy again. These microupgrades are nearly impossible to get without buying, certainly not to M3.75, which would take literally years of straight gameplay. And then along would come a "rebalance" and the players who bought millions of crystals to upgrade a hull/gun now have an underpowered hull/gun

Then these recent rebalances: Buyers/players buy the guns that are currently OP. So tanki massively changes the game. Most people can't afford to buy the new OP gun, so they either have to play with a less OP gun OR pay real money. The repeat buyers get ripped off yet again, as they rush to buy cry to buy the new OP guns. The other nonbuyer players are screwed, or set back by months as they try to get a different gun.

The pattern is this: Devs change game. Players accomodate game by buying new "OP" guns, hulls, etcetera. Devs update game to make their equipment worthless(new guns are "OP"). Players buy new "OP guns"... But they have to buy crystals to do it. Remeber, the game according to the developers is designed so that at generalisimo you have enough crystals for 1 and only 1 M1, M2, and M3. In other words, after you buy a gun, if it is one of the guns that loses in the next rebalance, you ae screwed. You have to either give up on having enough crystals for M3 as a generalisimo and buy a different gun/hull, pay for crystals, or camp for crystals for months.

If you don't like these updates, consider what happens when you pay for them. It just makes the next "update" more likely. The purpose of these updates is not improving the game, it is to make money.

I think this game is dying. When a noob joins, they know they won't get to generalisimo. Usually, they get stuck in the high warrant officer rate it seems, based on the player rank/battle distribution. There seem to be noob-> warrant officer and generalisimo, with less and less in between. This game is dying as a result of these updates. And I won't miss it much anymore.

Tanki used to be a pretty awesome game, and even sort of balanced game, before the original rebalance. It was even possible to acheive the best M3s without buying. And we have had some positive updates as well, for instance new physiics, better graphics, etcetera. But the repeated sequence seems to be, instead of improving the game or advertising to get new players and potential buyers, Tanki will do a "rebalance" which will never make the game balanced, just change which guns are OP so that players will have to buy to be competitive.

This is why a refund is out of the question. Tanki is quite capable of giving a refund at any time, and as the game has changes in balance and moves to an entirely different platform, now would be a fair time to do it. But they won't do it. If players got their crystals back when the balance changed, they could get the newest OP gun instead of the now nerfed gun they used to have, thus destroying the pay-2-win aspect of the game.

Hazel-Rah(Has anyone here ever read Watership Down, or is that not related?) has admitted that he isn't "balancing", he is "nerfing" and "buffing". So please, remeber that if you spend real money to buy the newest OP gun after this update, you are just increasing the chance of another one of these updates, where the devs will make your tank that you bought with real money useless.

Tanki devs, instead of trying to repeatedly nerf your players' guns/hulls so they have to buy, please consider focusing on improving the game. Instead of this upcoming update which makes the tanks look like toys that were bent out of shape in strange looking worlds, try to add at least some realism. I don't want tanki to be realistic either, but the upcoming unity system just looks plain stupid as it is. Unity is capable of some seriously good graphics(I don't think I can reference other f2p online games, here but there are examples). I know, programming a game to make it better is harder than doing a "rebalance" to line your pockets. But in the long run, for the game to be successful, it needs development. Devs, instead of forcing current players to buy to win, improve the game until people actually want to buy.

If your topic was removed, it means it was breaking the rules, it should've been clear to you. However, it seems it wasn't.

Which rules did it break?

So please, remeber that if you spend real money to buy the newest OP gun after this update, you are just increasing the chance of another one of these updates, where the devs will make your tank that you bought with real money useless.

2.14. - unreasonable, disrespectful criticism of the game and its authors, Owner; any activities that have an adverse effect on project development.

1.15. - discriminating against inexperienced players (noobs): misinformation, harassment, mocking;

Spreading negative propaganda against buyers, making guesses on how the devs will destroy the game, etc.

Thread closed, recreating it again will result in a ban. Complaints about my actions ("Don't abuse your privileges. Are we clear?") - @Yele
