@ MrTactics I just read your response after i posted so I edited. Now we are haveing a real conversation. I do see your point, and wanted to acknowledge your comments.

I agree the re-balance has good points and bad points. I'm more unhappy about the fact that no one from Tanki has made a statement regarding the many unhappy players. As an adult it is very difficult to be treated like I don't matter, and this is the way I feel when they aren't even willing to discuss options. I am not the only one who feels this way. The re-balance was handled very poorly, in my opinion. You don't ask everyone what they want to buy on sale, put that product on sale and then turn around and exchange it for a different product. That is bad business and some buyers are voicing  their distrust and are unwilling to spend hard earned money on hulls and turrets that will be changed so drastically. Not even taking the time to respond to this problem is also bad business. If some one uses bad business practices too much, it will eventually cause a problem.

As I mentioned before their are options. After discussions with others, this is one option. I'll use viking as an example. Many preferred the last version, many prefer the new versνion. Leave the old version, add the new version and call it Viking Mk.2. If variety is what people want, this will give it to them. They already have the physics and parameters for both. How hard would it be to just add a newer updated version along side the old?  I don't think posting ideas in the idea section always works because good ideas just get buried with all the stupid ideas. Anyone who as read some of the posts there, knows what I'm talking about.

To be honest, I think this is all that they need to say and some up both points quit safely. If only some bothered to read it.

So stop trying to make every thing I say look like it is being posted by some uneducated person or a child. In some people's eyes you are starting to make yourself look stupid.

I agree, there are a few good ideas. But to be honest it is clouded out by the majority who show no evidence of having mental capabilities whatsoever . People like, people dislike. Rebalance always changes and it isn't something that can be done overnight. I'm sure they may be able to fish out some plausible comments both negative and positive for another rebalance they will do (it will always happen).

If it is a response needed, I can guarantee you won't get one. However I am sure they will take some plausible comments in order for future development.

"unethical", you're still being dillusional about your "bait and switch" conspiracy aren't you? Please don't say you are... You were given a vote to choose what you wanted discounted. It wasn't as if they put it on sale against your will, not to mention hunter (buffed) and dictator were on sale too. I'm a buyer and these changes brought back a spark in Tanki so I love it. Scenario: Burned from the recent "rebalance", I save $200 to start micro upgrading my ricochet. Unable to use it while doing so, I finally get it micro upgraded without using speedups. Now I can enter the firebird/ricochet/twins arena where I can finally make a difference because skill alone doesn't cut it anymore. But wait! What's that you say? The long awaited news we've all been waiting for! A new, new balancing of hulls and turrets! "We're sorry you've just wasted $200 on that turret we have just nerfed - why don't you spend some hours playing with something else to see if you can adapt?" Cue the complaints, cue the silence.

 

Well, Once bitten, twice shy, as they say. Trust is at the heart of this issue. No trust  = No purchase

 

I'm truly sorry to Tanki if they think my input is not constructive or even sarcastic but you can't ride roughshod over buyers and think everything is still rosy.

Time to break the silence - before you make the same mistakes again!

really?..you can beat m3 rico..hahahahahahahah..I would like to see that..m2 maybe..here's an example..I am using (since the so called"balance") taiga (protection on rico)/M3mammoth/M3 twins..when I kill him,I have 5 hp points left max..with no protection against rico (colour) you are dead meat 1 vs 1..period..but,they are even better as kill sealers..they are owning maps..

looking at your rank you think you may know but in reality you have no idea. my viking m3 is fully micro upgraded for protection and turning speed. sure if i go face to face with m3 rico i will lose, but i fight to my turret/hull combo's strength and use rico's weakness, ie lack of turn speed. the result you spin around it like a freeze user would and.....bye bye rico. simple!!

Here's a question for you.When tanki offered the 50% disount, they knew which hull was going to win without any doubt!. Do you really think dictator would win? NO not enough people are at the rank to buy it!. Hunter, really!? The only people who would choose hunter are those that have had it since they joined. Maybe next time, instead of having a vote on which hull to give discount on. they should have a vote on whether people agree with a new rebalance! Oh and by the way conspiracy theory....Absolutely.

I will continue stressing the fact that accusing Tanki of spineless conspiracies, facts and motives does not in anyway improve your point, it just makes you look stupid and immature, you know who you are. Here's a list of what some have come up with.

- More or less libellous statements such as "Bait and Switch" scam.

- Tanki "corrupting today's society"

- 80% Members against Tanki devs

Tier 1 and Tier 2 used to be a brilliant idea. Everybody got nearly everything in tier 1 and then switched to tier 2 at a higher level. Now everybody just focuses on one or two weapons or hulls so they have to nerf them after a while in order to force player to buy others, and that fundamentally damaged the ecosystem of the game and buyer's trust on the future of their investment.

Let me remind you that you have insulted others in this topic which might get you a ban. Be careful. Just because you are siding with tanki doesn't mean you can break the forum rules and get away with it. I for one do not take to kindly to this sort of behaviour. It's tantamount to bullying in my book.

 

I notice you have paraphrased things here, (twisted to suit your agenda), without providing links or context. I would quite happily put you straight and help you read between the lines. You shouldn't take everything too literally. People aren't as perfect as you when they compose a message. People are upset and angry and you would do well to remember that. Yes, geezer62 is correct here. It's not about predicting the future. I know that when it starts raining, people will put their umbrellas up. That doesn't make me a fortune teller. It's a matter of simple observation and deduction. I don't have the statistics of where all players are at in terms of their garages but I'm sure tanki does. Tanki will have reports coming out of their ears enabling them to build strategies which will help them make money. Tanki knew with a high degree of certainty which hull would be chosen. Please stop being a pedant over the word "knew" and learn to read between the lines.

 

 

So where do we go from here? Tanki might very well close this topic. They certainly have an excuse to. Let's hope they keep it open.

regardless on my personal situation I think the change was good and the game is more balanced than before.

 

I'm annoyed too since I now want hunter instead of Viking. But if you didn't have those weapons and was allowed to refund, do you honestly think the rebalance was that bad? Forgetting about weapons that we wish we hadn't bought, I think the rebalance was good. Not for all players, but for the game as a whole I think its more balanced. And its refreshing to play with different mechanics.

 

To all of you who are complaining. It does sound like just because you haven't benefitted, the rebalance wasn't good. Not everyone can benefit.

 

I would agree that they should give us more notice in the future. But how much notice do you want? I'm pretty sure the amount of beforehand notice they would have to give you in order for you to not spend money on something different would be a long long time. My personal example: they would've had to give notice of the rebalance before new years for me to buy firebird rather than freeze.

 

If they have completed work on a rebalance, that is good for the game as a whole, they shouldn't hesitate to release it.

 

So yeah, personally I have no problem with the notice they gave, or the rebalance themselves. I DO think however, so that no one will be less well off, they should allow partial refunds, 50% say.

 

This means those of us who have saved and waited patiently for a sale and bought do not lose out completely. Although this isn't full compensation for the time and effort spent saving, as well as missed sale opportunities, this is a good compromise no?

There is no doubt that Tanki is in it for the money. They would refund if otherwise.

 

I'm not gonna lie if it was me as a director I would definitely implement plans to increase revenue. Tanki is after all a company. I would like to say that I'd value tankers opinions and views above the money. But my view would be biased.
