Having a grey screen?

Be sure to check your config file aswell.

The config file is something you need to edit everytime when making a new custom paint.

So if you've ever made changes in the config file,

Your custom texture codes should end like this:

<colormap file="custom_textures\718.jpg"/>
<colormap file="custom_textures\719.jpg"/>
<colormap file="custom_textures\720.jpg"/>
<colormap file="custom_textures\721.jpg"/>
</colormaps>
</config>

All the codes should look identical to eachother except for the number.
The number 720 for example; shows you've 720 custom textures stored in Tankviewer.

Don't ever mess with the codes in your config file, unless it's the name of the paint.
Not just in the custom textures folder, but aswell with the colormaps folder.

I see no reason to adjust the hulls and turret codes, so I don't think the problem should be there.

Examples:

<colormap file="custom_textures\721.jpg"/>

<colormap file="colormaps\holiday\12Halloween.jpg"/>

<colormap file="colormaps\special\Ruby.jpg"/>

The text in red shouldn't be changed in any circumstance.
The text in grey should match your name in the custom textures folder, or the colormaps folder.

If you can't find an error in your codes/have forgotten which one you edited, you should install a new tankviewer like said before.
Although it would be a big loss to lose your custom textures... if you ever had any.

This is how I name them... saving files as a number can get you out of situations like this.
You just start counting from 1; having textures saved as actual names can cause easy grammar errors.
Because if the text 720 doesn't correspond to the text in your custom textures file; you'll keep that grey screen.
