Most probably yes. Most people nowadays just want to pass as life is quite comfortable to them. This is one main reason.I feel the same as well.School never fits in my mind (I don't know why)

Sort of the wrong section for this, lol.

I know the feeling - we must have covered animal/plant cells a million times by now...

Well, it's meant to be about learning, but it seems that due to the nature of school curriculums, students aren't exactly encouraged to think independently that much. So yeah, we go to school, pass exams, end of story.

I feel like school is for the most part more about memorizing facts than actually learning how to do things.

True, these days it's so hot in my country that I can't even listen.

Am I the only one around here who actually goes to school to learn stuff and not just to pass? I don't just study for a test and forget it all, I like knowing it, it feels good to know how nature functions... The facts learned I later use to build up on that knowledge. To constantly learn more. I don't think about school as something that will help me get a job, I see it as a way to learn from people who came before me and to help discover new things for the next generation.
