If you know you don't respect other players, then go off and do something about it. Either way, there's no reason to continue to talk about that here.

Well this is working well.

It seems the best way to do this would be that if this actually gets on-topic, then eventually, discussion in the main POTD topic could be forbidden and removed so it consists of pictures only, much like the Real Photo topic.

That is pretty good.

 

We also need people to stop discussing other's characters and discuss the pictures they post instead xD

I've never said "how to die" or "not skilled", but about noob, I say it as a joke sometimes, I even call myself noob... my status on skype before was "I'm noob", also, "how to miss" I say it always as a joke, I also say it when I miss myself, because on calls I've to give info about everything, so I say "how to miss" so they know I missed, and I respect rules, that's why I went to argue with robbie in PM but he still posted pic on POTD...

Yes I do brag about my skills, but what's wrong about it? I never disrespect anyone because of their skill, I disrespect them because of their attitude, so I guess I'm not.

Well said, Firingsniper. On another note, would you guys see non-Tanki related images as suitable for POTD? Personally, I think only having Tanki related pics would work better, though I guess it depends on the situation.

Any photos is better, just seeing tanks after tanks can get boring, we come here to relax and mess around, not look at more tanks :mellow:

I guess that's true - but then again, you wouldn't really want to see the POTD topic just used to post loads of random pics. A mixture of both Tanki and non-Tanki related pictures would probably work best.

Anyway, from your perspective, it seems like disrespecting others is alright because ''it's a joke''.

A joke can go too far. Some people say, ''He admitted he brags, so let him be'' Well let me tell you that from the bottom of people's hearts, we hate people who brag about his skill because it's natural. Although yes, I have to admit you are really good at XP battles, but I don't think that's no reason to call yourself 'king', and bragging to others. I really don't see the point of it.

“Photo of the Day – Have any?” is for posting photo forms that are humorous, informative, or would be considered of interest to the community (tanki related or otherwise). Technically, a photo form is any image representative of depiction. i.e. screenshots, photos, cartoon, scorecards, gifs, video, or something of your own creation.

 

There is nothing wrong with commenting on any photo form in the topic. And even minimal banter is acceptable. However, when this banter extends to the point of topic domination, then it is the moderators job to curtail. Especially, when that banter turns to argument.

 

Now, nobody’s perfect, And as in real life beyond the forum there will be disagreements between individuals from time to time. However, we know better than to allow those disagreements to get out of hand outside of the forum, lest we pay the consequences (law enforcement and negative public scrutiny). Within the forum we are held by that same standard, with the only difference being, our law enforcement is moderation. whether we like it or not (it is our choice to become forum members).

 

I have enjoyed every post within POTD, and the positive far outweighs the negative...It is a history that can never be washed away. Many years from now, you may look back on what you have posted, with a smile, a laugh, or even wipe a tear. “Memories!”   :)
