I really like Isida, some people have said it is cheap and boring. I agree with half, it is pretty cheap, but it definitely isn't boring. Damage is good, heal is good, I play offensively with M1 Isida and M0 Hornet, fully drugged up, and it is easy to rule the map.

My very short review for my love of Isida (:

players who say it decreases your d/l using isida, it isn't true!!

Well, depending on your situation actually. If you do know how to use it ( range, dps, limitations, etc), you can actually maintain or even increase it. Isida is a short range turret, so you have to know how to hide and decide when to attack in medium to larger maps. Typically, I manage to get a positive d/l of at least 1.0 80% of the time.

Another reason is that you really get xp hella FAST, and often that leads to getting top 3 in the battle. I've seen and have been top 3 most of the times (not guaranteed :D), and seen others do that without drugging at all, which leads me to another reason!

Isida is one of the best turrets to survive long without drugging. Yes, it's true players often target isidas first, but if you know how to master the technique of going stealth, it is typically useful and you can survive long enough to both heal your teammates and attack.

Overall, isida is a definite game changer and if you have the chance to, use it!

The most overpowered weapon in the game only becuase of the self-healing,the self-healing must be removed!!!!

The self healing isn't even that much. It is well balanced.

I personally like the isida however it does badly in DM mode

This is only half true for Isida M1 and M2. Isida M0 and Isida M3+ absolutely dominate DeathMatches at their respective ranks.

What is entirely true is that using Isida in DeathMatches is somewhat silly since you lose out on team mate healing, and the extra points and crystals asociated with healing.

The self healing isn't even that much. It is well balanced.

The self-healing is a nice touch, especially because since you're a healer, you can't heal yourself. However, the self-healing doubles when you have Double Damage activated, and quadruples when you have both Double Damage and Double Armor activated. That makes it an absolute beast in DM mode, especially since you're the only turret that can self-heal.

The best counter to an Isida is either a high-impact gun (Twins, Rico, Smoky) which can really mess with your aim, or another Isida, since your self-healing counters theirs.

Love it when there are players with isidas on your team that are DEDICATED healer! So helpful!

You know what dedicated healers like? Big, brave tanks who are big enough to hide behind and can tank the damage for you. Make like you're going for the flag, then at the last second let us snag it and run off while you cover us. Yeah! :P

when an isida is going for a flag I always protect them, but I wont let them steal the flag from me if I have it  ;)

I have Isida M1 on a WO4 alt. I should be buying Stinger, but inexplicably, I can't afford the kit. I'm struggling to understand this since Isida is supposed to be a Crystal hound. I haven't MUd a lot. I did buy Vampire M1 kit. I did buy Firebird M1 for not a lot of money. My alt is Vampire_Medic. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

Copying the below from my post in the What to Buy Thread-

I use Isida Wasp a lot in Polygon. Isida is OK but the wasp is a problem. Easy target. I do okay but I need a better hull to do well in that map. If I scramble the eggs on all my alts, my Hunter or Viking would be the tank of choice for Polygon. Tough enough to take a few hits, and fast enough to duck under cover.

Back to Isida. The way to play Isida on Polygon CP is in the tunnel near the center point BEHIND the fat Titan or Mammoth holding the point AND shielding you from enemy fire - but Ricochet is a problem. Pretty soon the enemy team starts kamikaze runs into the tunnel trying to take you out, which is a lot of fun to watch.

The other Polygon Isida tactic is as a spoiler. Forget the point. Run around the outer perimeter of the map and kill or weaken enemy tanks who have spawned and are focused on moving to the center. These tanks are not usually looking behind them, and you can get lots of easy kills or at least assists. This also makes it a LOT easier for your team to take and keep the point.

Have fun!
