I thought about MUing my Isida yesterday and decided against it. Now I am glad I did.

 

OTOH what use will I have with Crystals if I am driven from this game?

The isida is dead guys. please stop using it, and do not buy it.

 

 

Edit: yes I do own it. I bought the isida m1 2 years ago, and loved it. after taking a long break, I came back a few weeks ago to the isida being horrible. I am not optimistic about the upcoming update. 5 seconds of attack charge is just too short

Especially if you misjudge and start firing a second before you clse the range ... what can it kill in 4 seconds?  

 

Ans since they are narrowing the attack cone you will miss more often.... trying to force me to buy the alteration that adds are at the expense of range.

Well, lets see. Isida M3 has 720 damage x 5 seconds = 3600. That's plenty enough to kill a heavy hull, so the answer is anything, it can kill anything.

Also unlike all other weapons, range doesn't affect Isidas damage, it always fire with a constant damage, so all of that damage will go in use, unless you are very bad player and can't point it against the opponent.

 

Tested it on my M0 account and been playing it a lot on my M3 account, it works good at both modifications. Even played a DM with legends and Isida did amazing.

The Devs have done a 180. Isida used to be terrible in DM and great in team-battles for the most part.

 

Now if functions somewhat better in DM (able to get a kill) but - long delay before it can function at same effectiveness.

But in team play it suffers. The healing is quite slow, and, if you ever need to do both before pool is fully replenished it will do neither very well.

 

If you're happy with the way it works I'm not gonna try to convince you otherwise. It just doesn't suit me the way they've changed it.

So, I know posting screenshots of one's good battles is a bit self-congratulatory, but it's fun. I think more people should do it. Celebrate a win!

 

Anyway, I've been playing Isida the last couple days to see how bad it sucks. You tell me. These are from an account with an M2 Isida/M2 Hunter. 18 MUs on the Isida. Basically no garage supplies were used. Look at the ranks.

 

 

 

The next couple are from an account of mine with an M0 Isida/M0 Viking (5 MUs on the Isida). Again, no garage supplies were used, except in this case for an occasional speed boost, to capitalize on the Viking's nice speed and to reach enemies before they killed me.

Those games seem rather unexceptional. Obviously you play well as finished 1st on your team. But before the nerf this week I routinely had similar scors and often even higher. That you had a good game with the nerfed Isida does not mean the Isida is better now. You'd probably have done as well or better with the un-nerfed Isida. But there's no way to know.

 

I run m2/Hornet/Isida 1LT now  (different account) and nowadays I really don't look at the ranks before i enter a game. No one can have m3 gear unless they buy a kit at LTGeneral - and not everyone plans that well.  So even when I was a 2LT I could enter a match evenly with Generals. At my level that's pretty much every game I can eneer. So rank is not really significant at this level.

 

The more I play the nerfed Isida the more I know it has been nerfed.  "Nerfed" does not mean "ruined" it means "It ain't as good as it was before".  Make no mistake: Isida has been nerfed.

 

Because why?  I do not know.

For sure. I'm not claiming the Isida is better now, in the sense of it's easier to get a good score. It definitely felt harder with my M2, actually, than it used to. But the turret doesn't suck. And one should have to work to get a top score. I always have to work my butt off. And my scores are seldom 'exceptional'. But I'm always at/near the top.

 

Do you have any screenshots of exceptional games? It'd be cool to see them.

OK I misunderstood. I thought you were reporting the new turret was superior,  I didn't reply to say "you suck neener neener" but instead meant to show that level of performance happened before the change too.

 

I agree Isida is not ruined and it doesn't suck.  But it is, IMO, not as good as it was before the change.  I do not understand why the turret was weakened when no one at all thought it overpowered.

 

Sorry but I've never taken a screenshot of anything in Tanki. But the 400-500 exp points range in a (competitive, two good team) 15 min game is fairly common.

All the turrets are for everyone, regardless of the players' gender. I can't find a reason for calliing Isida as the "Girl's gun".

Isida is one of the most important turrets in the game, especially in team-battles. I really like this turret very much.

Well, Isida is used to represent female players for two reasons: it's named after an Egyptian goddess of health, marriage and wisdom; and it's also just a general stereotype to have girls play as healers in games (even though this is mostly wrong). Also, in Russian every word has a gender, so for turrets we have Isida, Railgun and sometimes Firebird having a female gender.

it sucks now, i have a hard time as it was trying to stay alive in close combat, now its a horrible gun,

worthless with out vampirism ................. and i mainly healed with it anyways!!!

 

ps your extra damage to it???? i cant tell a bit of difference

Hi. I'm posting this topic here because it concerns everyone, not just Isida users. I hope they don't close it. Instead maybe add a Poll: Buff, Nerf, Change and It's Okay As It Is.

 

In my opinion Isida needs a small change in the form of reducing the reload time from 10 seconds to 8 seconds and and reducing the heal time from 10 seconds to 8 seconds as well. That will be a small buff to attacking Isidas and a small nerf to healing Isidas.
