Isida is the only Turret that can heal team mates so it is expected to give you a bit of boost in terms of experience but there are some players out there who never use Isida and use other Turrets and Hulls and still gain quite a lot of experience or XP so I guess it depends on the indivual. :)

Topic merged.

something happened to isida from updates

It feels somewhat like the old Isida but without the vampirism. And they announced the removal of vampirism just as I performed the last step to making it M4.  <_<

However, at close range it is OP, as it should be in order to compensate for its lack of range vs all the other turrets, save for Firebird and Freeze. I think its balanced. Just keep your distance as you would from a scorpion or other venomous creature.

ricochet vs isida = ricochet win!

no offence to you isida users, but ricochet is way better than isida by 10x because the plasma balls bounce off walls once you know the full potential of the ricochet!

Then please do not run up to an Isida next time you need a healing. Isida is a free mobile repair kit. No other turret can boast that.

You know what else can bounce off walls? Hammer. Hammer also shoots 9 times more projectiles therefore its 9x better.

I like how much damage it does on average (125). Even if your opponent has a shield, that's still 62 damage. Not to mention if you want a really easy way to boost your score without really engaging in the battle itself, you can heal all your teammates!

We also have splash damage turrets, turrets with higher firing rates, high damage per shot turrets, and penetration turrets.

Isida is OP.

In my hands yes it is

Will it still be OP after 6 new overdrives go live? I have no idea. I do know that a hell of a lot will be different though.

Isida is OP.

At all levels if you get within its range, hell yeah.

On a sidenote: the Vampire Kit should be renamed to Nurse Kit or Shaman Kit or something else since it no longer sucks the life force out of you in order to heal itself.

At M2 onwards, yes.

At M0 onwards.

I completely agree  :D

As long as Isida has the overdrive it's OP. Any isida over M0, I don't even bother with it, just run the other way. It reminds me of Call of Duty Zombies, I always ran away from them, then I died....  <_<

Isida is not OP.  Most Isida players have a Kill/Death ratio  well below 1.  Look at the top 100 leaderboard each week.  They are NOT using Isida turrets.  Isida is not an MVP turret.  Rather a turret that gets a lot of "assists."  As such, it can be a force multiplier and a game-changer, but one all teams have access to.  Game changer, can be.  OP?  No.

I had some good games today in the Isida. Good team play on the enemy and my side. Had moments of success and moment getting smacked. None of these "invincible" Isida trains even though thre were more than one Isida / team quite often.  But one thing did occur to me during those games.

Isida gets a lot of steady points frm healing. So my OG start renewed  a bit faster than with my Vulcan or Smoky. This might be part of the new Isida/OP talk. Now is that an OP turret or a bad OD system? There's another topic.

Here is a perect example of why it would be a bad idea to mess with hulls and turret before the new ODs are added. We might find Magnums with the see-through-walls is a big problem. Or invulnerable flag-raiders.

Had a game just now in which two teammates really knew how to work together. Hornet.Isida me, Hunter/Fire and Vulcan/Mammoth. Constant swarming about covering each other's blind spots. They trusted me to keep them up even if they took some damage for awhile.  And I knew they'd jjump in front of a bullet to keep me going. Isida is so much fun when the team is clicking.

Wish I could join your CTF battles. Teamwork sounds much more fun than being on a TDM team in a CTF battle. Unlike the noob Isidas who require you to "come to the base if you need to get healed", I always run to my teammate carrying the flag once I hear that horn and I am usually in position in midfield/front lines ready to be a mobile repair kit and/or share my OD. And yes, I will drug Nitro and DA if I need to keep up with you and act as a rear shield.

You are a natural Isida driver. No matter which way needs doing your fundamental role is to raise team performance. Sometimes that means you meatsheild and heal both. Other times it means the team mates dies while you kill the foe. You are making snap decisions and that = fun.

Unsolicited tip dep't: Feel free to use DD just to boost healing. It is not a 'waste' if you use a DD just to heal in tight spots.

As for finding the good teams I rely on luck like you. Players do get batter once out of the NCO ranks. Got lucky today too. Deathtrack CTF with a couple good teammates. Clicked well especially with a Hunter/Smoky. He was aggressive for the flag so I kept helping him. I saw what he was up to so felt confident at times I could take an alternate route to meet up later for more support when actually needed. Every time this guy ran into heat I was there to help him. It did not take but a couple times for him to realize that. So we both we able to work togehter while out of direct sight, sorta thing.

Hard to describe but games like today's are Isida at its best and most fun.

The more advanced tankers end up in the forum most of the time; the average tanker is dumber than you people might think.

But I haven't seen so much stupidity in a Bobruisk game today. I were healing all the useless lifeforms to farm XP. I ended up getting first big time and got a sort of- decent reward for someone on the losing side. You can squeeze some extra crystals from that battle with healing everyone in the base... where your team is taking continuous damage anyway.

I can't believe the number of Isida players that will jump out from cover and lead the charge to attack, only to get killed by a distance weapon. All this as they dart past a heavy or medium hull team-mate who could take care of the enemy while being healed.

I know right! They have the opportunity to get instant XP and will indirectly finish off the enemy anyway... No insight.

Great teamwork is fun for sure. As an Isida player, I love it when players realize often the best way they can be protected is to protect me, even taking bullets if necessary. Functioning as a unit together is great! Perhaps the most annoying players to assist as an Isida are those that unnecessarily run for cover under fire while I clearly have their back from a protected position (forcing me to become exposed to support them, which I often still will do). Naturally rooting for the underdog, I often love joining the losing team as an Isida to see if the game can turn around with my additional support. Sometimes (often) it is. Being a "game-changer" feels great, even if I am being perpetually slaughtered by the other team to do so. If the teamwork is too bad though, and I can tell the team just does not get the concept of force multiplication and how to effectively work with an Isida, the effort is not worth it and I will leave to let them all lose on their own. Given the choice of healing or killing, I will almlst always choose to heal first, trusting that the person I am healing will have my back. It is an awesome feeling when they do!
