Its funny to watch the gameplay basically stop as everyone drugs up and awaits the beloved gold box, I scored three in one day - have no photos to prove it but I was to busy trying to survive to take  snap shots.

This topic, while it is similar to many other topics in the gameplay section, is a bit different. Here, we discuss hulls in tanki and which we prefer to use when it comes to gold boxes. Which hull is best to get them and why? This topic can cover so much more than "I like mammoth cause its strong" or "I like hornet cause it's fast". Much like a snowflake, no gold box situation is the same. Which hulls are best for gold boxes? Which hulls are best for which situations? Viking is an excellent hull for example! It is versatile, has good hit points, speed, agility, and weight, however, it has a major disadvantage when it comes to gold boxes: It's height. Viking has an extremely low profile. It is common that a viking will be 80% under the box, but a hornet for example, has the other 20%. Logic says the viking should get the box, but physics think otherwise. The taller profile of the hornet allows it to touch, and therefore take the box before the viking. In conclusion of this example, viking is a great hull except when it comes to getting gold boxes. So what do you guys think? What is the best hull for gold? What is the worst? Is it better to have speed and agility to get it, or slow, lumbering strength? Let's hear some ideas and thoughts!

As was said before, it depends on the map. If it's a small map with few drop zones, I'll use a heavy hull. If it's a mid map, like Highland or Sandal for instance, definitely viking because of good health and speed. On large maps like Rio or Kolhoz, I prefer to use a hornet.

I always use Hornet&Railgun and 'till now I had caught about 25 Gold Boxes. 1 of which was a 2013-Christmas Gold that had 3000 crystals in it, 2 of which that were 3000 Golds of  May Holidays' special 3000 Crystal Gold, and all the others were 1000-crystal Golds. Here's a video of one of my May-Holidays 3000 Gold (The second one I took in Polygon at the morning of the same day :)):

I think 'cba' means 'can't be asked'... Anyway, after the May update, have goldboxes get in increase in drop rate? I once saw two goldboxes in a highland TDM, and one the match after. Also,  i've gotten three 3k golds, one on my alt, and two on this acc :)
