The best? I don't think so. Only players with Mammoth or Titan full MU will have a chance. It depend of the spot. Lets take Polygon for example:
 
- if it falls in middle of the map, everyone will wait around, except for one or two Mammoths in the middle. And then, everyone will run in middle when Gold will appear. Light hulls will have a good chance of getting on top, same for Viking or Dictator.
- if it falls in front of the little house, with the small ramp in the middle, some light hulls will wait here and jump on ramp for Gold, if there's not a freeze to kill them all.
- but what about the bridge? If the sign is hear, a Mammoth will wait here, if he's full mu, he has 400HP with armor and maybe Clay or Zeus, and if he has Isida... Some tanks will push him from behind, but other will push him from the front. With two different forces acting, he will not move.

Finally got some alarms before leaving. 3 in Polygon. Missed the first. It fell on middle. So many Dictators, I jumped too early, somebody used me as a ramp  :ph34r: I got the second and the third.
 
Gold RU1. A noob Thunder targeted me. I saw medic fall, I ran for it and Gold was there too. Then two Rails shot me, it's ridiculous how the power of Rail makes Dictator move... Wasp-Savanna ran into me, but he was lagging.

Inspired by lukey and pedro's posts, I think I will also post here about my goldbox catches. Sadly upto now, I have made no videos of images of those catches, but from now on I will try to capture those. The goldbox icons are shamelessly stolen from Pedro's post. :ph34r:  Hope to catch more of them, but typically I catch 5-6 of them in a month, too bad compared to the pros here, but not that bad, I think!  :mellow:

 

I have written data from 24th July, 2014, anything before that is from memory (only the five years of tanki goldbox falls in this category).

Dictator is good for Golds. And even more with Freeze, you can slow down enemies and steal the Gold from them ^^
