I don't like it's speed. Too slow for me! Used to be 10, but now it's 9.  :mellow: I'll still use it now and then but mostly VIking for now.

Can someone teach me some tricks on how to get them? I am not an absolute noob at them, but I am not a full pro either. If there's a gold drop event, I am the guy who comes 5th at catching most golds.

I've got an idea, but I want to hear your opinion. What about we start collecting all our experience with catching goldboxes, and make a guide, tips and advices, and this all have posted in main post of this topic? I know there were some guides in newspaper, maybe on wiki (such as this one https://en.tankiwiki.com/Gold_Box_Hunting),but all are giving just the overall info, the basic tips, and often outdated, like supplies cooldowns, hulls and turrets characteristics, striker and magnum "tricks" :ph34r:. We all know more about it, the advantages (more like dis-) of each hull and turret, some unwritten rules, how to "behave", or when not to behave and fight for your life etc.
What do you think about it? Maybe it's not worth it, since it will most probably contain lots of information which new players won't understand, and then personal tricks which not even other players would understand :lol:

PS: Can the "recoil trick" for climbing tanks, commonly used by wasps and hornets, be used by medium hulls? I remember goldhunters used to climb vikings with dictator and hammer, myself I managed to often do it with just M3.

I'm 23k from 1M on GoldBox so I'm taking every Gold Box I see to get me there faster. :P

I've always thought about writing a Gold catching guide like that since I did my 10 000 Post Special but just have never had the time. I wouldn't mind doing something like that. It would be well detailed thats for sure. :LOL:

You might have been lagging with a high PING for that to happen. Sometimes if you jump into the Gold Box, normally on the Rio map you go straight through it which is a glitch on Tanki's behalf.
