Do you think, there are more golds dropping, than before? At legend rank, of course, for low ranks they obviously do. Also, how often they fall in your opinion. I've seen almost a double gold, a gold droped at 9:40 on timer, and sometimes it doesn't drop at all for few rounds, so I still have no idea.

I see more Golds at low ranks, since I took 2 MM Golds with my Corporal account and 3 with my Legend account. No changes for Legends imo.

Today I'm feeling like golds fall way less often, but I still caught 2. I caught *few* more since MM, and obviously they fall more often at super low ranks, well, now they actually drop unlike before as fund is incredibly low.

I'm still interested in the mechanism. Does gold drop randomly, depending on time? (e.g."Every second there is a 1:X chance to drop a gold") Or does it actually depend on the number of players in battle, on actions done in battle such as kills, caps, etc.? In short, "easy" way to prove it would be playing a DM or TDM battle (so only action are kills), and recording the whole battle, waiting for gold. Then check, if gold drops right after someone is killed, or even without that. Of course, if gold drops randomly, it's pretty much sure, they don't depend on "fund" or in other words "action in battle", but only on time (and the chance for gold can be possibly influenced by the number of players in battle, or the mode). However, it doesn't work the other way. If gold drops as someone dies, it doesn't mean gold can drop only after an action is done, since it could be always a time-triggered gold.

Soooo, I want you guys to do this if you have the PC to run a recording program throughout the whole battle. Of course the quality doesn't matter, all that's necessary is timer, notification and the kill/action log - nicknames doesn't have to be completely clear, the quality can be pretty low. In case gold doesn't drop, you can instantly delete it. I'm going to do the same, but the more players, the higher chance of success :ph34r:

PS: I forgot about player dropped golds, so perhaps it's better to check this at low ranks where players are less likely to drop them.

Edit: I've got lucky, first gold - it dropped "randomly", meaning about a half second after a kill. I know, that before, and in PRO battles, gold drops right when fund raises (after kill, etc.) Then a second gold dropped. this one dropped right after a kill, I watched it a few times, and I'm quite sure it was exactly at the kill. Confused. Let's see more.

Edit2: ._. If I was so lucky on other account. Gold dropped a second after second kill in a DM. I guess it's just random, doesn't matter if players just look at each other. I'd like to prove this so much by filling a battle with 16 friends, who would just look at each other for 10 minutes, waiting for a gold :lol:

Edit3: A black box dropped, and I think it was not triggered by kill. I'm not 100% sure, but I think so. Cool. I still want to know more about that mechanism. :x

The best answer is my Gold in Kungur CP. You can't see funds now, but there was 0 funds. 0 point captured, 0 kills as you can see on the right.

 

So it does not depend only on funds. Now, this can be a Gold dropped by a player, but we were only 4. I did not drop. And usually, droppers prefer to show their name in the notification, they like to get the attention from other players.

I took this screenshot like 3 days ago, but I couldn't find it, and I wasn't sure what exactly happened there, since tanki crashed right after I got the screen. Finally it's here, and I guess this is good enough proof, that golds can drop anytime. (whether the chance is fixed, or depending on number of players, mode, etc.)

I've seen everything. Gold before 9:50 I think - I was connected and saw notification - I can easily confirm it from video and 20 seconds for gold to hit ground. I've seen a gold drop in the last minute, actually I've managed to leave that time as notification appeared <_ seen double gold seconds between notif golds in a single round. they drop anytime at any rate sometimes don all today so honestly i barely think we can find out anything more about mechanism. just drop. and hopefully the chance won be lowered. if you are lucky enough to get friends dm match look each other may :p actually want try this :d>

I saw one today, the one below, and it was in the first 3 minutes. And since the beginning of MM, I see more in the first half. The 3 I took were at 9, 8 and 6 minutes left.

Gold on alt. This one made Pro_Xd_Noob really mad. I was far away from it when it was about to touch the ground, beginning of the small bridge. There was a Firebird attacking Pro_Xd. So I let him kill Pro_Xd, then I shot the Firebird. It seems he was low on HP, so my shot killed him and I took the Gold. Pro_Xd saw that, so he insulted me, told me I was lucky, and tried for the rest of the battle to push me, or block me. He wanted to ruin my K/D ^^ He failed to do that too.

I guess so, now the system is truly random. :LOL: I'd love to try that, but we'd need at least 50 people to press the button at the same time for it to (hopefully) work.
