Each turret, hull and protection module can be upgraded. Thanks to micro upgrades, you don't need to wait until the next modification becomes available to you. In order to start this process, you need to select an item in your garage and click on the "Upgrade" button. One item can have several parameters to upgrade. Once the process of upgrading has started, a timer starts that shows how long it will take until the upgrade is ready. However, you can always skip this waiting time by clicking on the "Speed Up" button.

'Cost per %' doesn't give a good indication here, because a certain increase in HP gives a much bigger percentage with lighter hulls than it does with heavier hulls.

I'm sure that everyone was curious on how these upgrades go hand in hand with each other in battle, I know I have. that is why I made this guide, so I took the total increase of each modification of each piece of equipment from the wiki, and divided it by the number of steps for that modification to get the average increase in stats per step. and now, here's the guide;

I'm sorry, but I ran out of space to put in another guide in this post, so I have to make another post just to list all the tables with the stats on it, since I plan on adding the stats on hulls, protection modules, and maybe even alterations to the guide. so if you could let me have the first 5 reply posts in this topic, that would help me out a lot to give you the full banquet of this guide. and of course, it's going to take me quite a while to get this complete, so its not going to be done over night, but I'll add a few new things, whenever I got the time.

Prices and Unlock Ranks of Modifications of Different Pieces of Equipment
In this section, I'll be listing the unlock ranks of all this stuff and how much they will cost (currency: crystals). I also did this for your convenience so that you can compare prices of the items without having to flip through pages of the wiki.

Is anyone going to make a new MU table for the turrets and hulls? I would like to see the MU costs after the rebalance.

 

Edit: Never mind, I found it. It's in the wiki. The tables are very nice, much better then the original ones.

MU'ing paints isn't a good investment in money in my opinion, but it does help out. There aren't many paints with railgun protection at the relatively early ranks, I guess.

 

I like to micro upgrade the first level or two on my M0 hulls to get a bit of an edge over other tankers. It's pretty darn cheap and pays off pretty quickly. Upgrade M0 Hunter's health a few (I think 3) levels and you can survive (barely, but still) a M0 Shaft. I've upgraded my Railgun to one-shot M0 Wasps at close range.

 

I think that you should micro upgrade if you need an edge over your opponents, but don't go overboard.

My suggestion to everyone is very short but very useful too - Don't MU things that aren't M3's because when you buy the enxt modification the MU's you bught with your Crystals disappear.

i had 2 golds and had 19k cry in my bank. what happened? my wasp has now 114,6hp 11,02 speed 1375kg weight and little less than 1000 power.

 

It is a beast!

the first few (1-3, depending on the hull/turret and parameter) are always worth it, even for hulls/turrets which M-upgrade isn't very far away.

 

I have a Wasp M1 (M2 is very far away) and even without discount, I am putting a bunch of Protection MUs on it.

MUs are only useful in upgrading bit by bit. In my opinion, MUs are for patient people. Others will upgrade M1s, 2s and 3s. (No offence)

I think you got it all wrong.

 

upgrading from M0 to M1 (and higher) is pretty much a must for every player who want to stay competitive. using M0 on high rank battles, even if its fully MU'd, is just stupid - mostly because an upgraded turret/hull is stronger than even a fully MU'd turret/hull of lower Mark (Mk. in short = M0, M1, M2, M3 in-game).

 

MUs are more like optional upgrades. if you think your tank is strong enough, then there is no need for MUs (after all, they improve your tank by just a tiny bit - which is why its called Micro-upgrade).

 

most will not MU anything except M3s and paints in order to save crystals because when you M+ a turret/hull, you lose its MUs anyway.
