Mu should really have less steps....maybe have 25 or 35 steps instead of 50....it takes me a month to fully mu something cause i can only do 2 a day(i do buy a speedup right before i need to leave for the day)

Equate the total cost of Mu'ing to the actual cost of the next modification (unless if it's a M3 then make muing slightly expensive)

MU is like, 2-3 times more expensive.

-_- no it isnt. I found that its exactly the same. I did it with Ricochet m0,Rail m0, and im doing Dictator m0 now. Upgradeing to m1 is the exact same thing exept that it takes longer, therefore upgrading to m2 or m3 is also the same.

Go to the wiki. Add every single Mu cost. Then you will find out costs alot more then the price of the next modification!

To Mu Dictator M0 you would have to pay 53,250 crystals instead of directly buying

M1 Dictator: 26,700 crystals.

Bro, don't go to the muing, not until Tanki equates the prices.

As a general rule of thumb, don't MU until m3 unless the next modification unlocks very late. Here's some things I would consider mu-ing at the m1 or m2 stages.

Smoky m1 (Smoky m2 is very powerful and unlocks only at colonel, I think.)

Wasp m1 (Wasp m2 is excellent and is much better than hornet m2, also unlocks late)

Firebird m1 (Fire m2 is one of the strongest m2s and unlocks at Major)

Dictator m2 (Dictator m3 unlocks at gismo, and each MU for dictator m2 gives you a significant HP boost compared to other hulls.)

Titan m1 (Titan m2 unlocks at colonel and is also very strong.)

upgrading five steps is useless, just for 3 or 4 pieces of equipment, even upgrading paints 4 or 5 stages will take yrs in the game, losing most of the time, or spend several $100s dollars, even with premium acc. It would take a year or more.

You can buy all the supplies you need with funds you can earn in battle and virtually be using an M4 at will, and win the lion share of battles every day.

The only players who will get any benifit from MUing are the addicted buyers willing to spend $1000s to get what? An extra win now and then, and only if you have a team of other major buyers. Total waste of money. A team of M3 using supplies will WR3K a full M4 buyer if he/she doesn't have an active group of M4 players, then they are just throwing their money away.

Finally a REAL non-buying player has replyed in this topic, and it seems that i was right in saying that tanki is not a pay-to-play game and anything you want to buy in tanki is possible within a fairly short time period. When I have a decent 2 or 3 hours on a computer at onetime, i can get so much xp and crystals. Its mainly the players that only play in short chuncks of time or the players who really arnt cut out to be tanki people who rank slowly. I rank slow cause i can rarly be on....i went arou d a week and a half without playing anything, and in the one or two day i did have, i got close to 25k crystals and 19xp whil i only played a little more than 3 hours...

It's good, but I don't think it is that necessary. I mean, it isn't an automatic to catch gold - first you must find and get to the spot. I would look in the remote areas while everyone else heads towards the center and spirals outward from there.

true, but it ups the chances alot

the first gold i got  was with dictator, and that was the first gold i had seen with dictator. that may have been makeing me think it was better than it was....

I got my first gold with a Viking, said to be the worst hull for Gold Box retrieval. Go figure.

were you climbing others, or were you near the center already while people were coming towards you?

I was at the spot before anyone else was. It seems to be the case as you saw in Tribute.

Has anyone done a M4 ROI comparison? Meaning which turrets give you the most % improvement between M3 and M4, then factor in the price of M4. Isida looks very good but I wonder if there is official research.

Here is what I have done so far.

Ricochet- 13% damage improvement for 985k crystals

Hammer- 24% damage improvement for 875k crystals

Isida- 28% damage improvement for 766k crystals

Twins- 18% damage improvement for 912k crystals

I know other turret attributes change with the new MU system, but damage is the important one IMO.

Just looking at the above, Isida is the clear winner. Most improved for the lowest overall cost. Add in the fact that Isida is an early M3 and it becomes more and more attractive.
