I miss the days when TO wasn't so complicated lol. Before, I just wanted to get all m3s and now m4s got involved and paints and protections constantly changing...I just play for acquaintances now lol

I personally think that spending 184,175 crystals to micro upgrade M1 Freeze to M2, is definitely worth it, especially considering how OP M2 Freeze is.

And tbh? Mus are definitely worth it, im debating RN if i should get M2 Thunder and start MUing it to M3 or just start MUing my M2 firebird to M3 (having M3s at my rank would be SUPER OP)

Worth it if you have the crystals to spare I suppose. Will cost you 2x as much, not counting speed-ups. Last stages take a looong time.

 

Kits are the best way to improve - especially if you can get an item-sale discount applied. Will you be able to save for a Kit and buy MUs?

 

In the long run you come out ahead with more equipment by buying a kit.

I don't think MUs are bad. I do think the introduction of Legend rank combined with the reset of M3 equipment to unlock at Marshal presents an opportunity to ease players into the endgame. Just spitballing here but -

 

-make M4 a lot better than M3, right now it's only marginally improved for most equipment

-limit how many MUs can be purchased by rank. For example, Marshals can buy the first 15 steps only. Fieldmarshals get the next 15, Commanders get the next 15, and Gissmos get the last 5. Or spread it out farther so that M4 is the sole property of Legend or Legend2 or maybe even 5.

 

This would address the problem of players who are just upgrading from M2 to M3 equipment being forced suddenly to face off against drugging M4s :blink:

 

Will never happen though. This would take away players motivation to buy crystals for real money. Can't have that :ph34r:

I'm beginning to agree with the OP. MUs don't win battles, but drugs do (And also depend if your team is noob or not). But its a bit better with having both.

M4s do actually make a difference. This is very much noticible and can mean the win for any team. I'd go for both M4 and supplies.

Would take few years to MU and it would be UP because of your rank when it will be 50/50 of M1 - while you can easily save up 60k for M2 Freeze or 100k for Avalanche kit (example) and be Pro.  :)

Yes - cheaper to buy higher level equipment on sale. Especially if you are lucky enough to have your desired kit in rotation on a sale day.

 

MUs benefit buyers the most. They can get better equipment sooner (for big price!) and then take the bigger portion of battle funds as they dominate. More so if they include supplies.

Not an option for those with M3 equipment.

 

But wouldn't it be just like Tanki to introduce legitimate M4 tier equipment for Legend rank, then laugh as all those players have to start over MUing their garage to M5. Meanwhile the money rolls in on Crystal purchases :blink:

^yes I hope that your prognosis is wrong.. even if it would fit their way to handle things.

 

Full M4 designs should come (somewhere in the future.... :P) as it was stated in an idea that was accepted in the ideas section.

But I hope there is no need to purchase _upgradeable_ M4s, available from Legend on, and introduce that as defacto standard equipment for Legend battles.. which opens up doors to M4+ (M5) via microupgrades.

 

 

 

Players that have spend millions (!!!!!) on crystals to get 4 or 5 M4 gears will see themselfes not better then those who purchase off-stock M4 for maybe 400k each. Would be fair, if those who spent 900.000 on a sginle gear full M4 microupgrades, receive a off-stock M4 (worth 400k) + M4+ microupgrades worh 500k.

I disagree, partially... My alt (3x3cube)'s m1 firebird is 44/50 and it's a Menace. It's really powerful at m2, y'know...

But M4ing stuff, is kind of pointless: I defeated an M4 Viking Twins with My Smoky Viking A few days ago.. And it was a 2 v 2, with my teammate an M4 Hammer - Viking and his an M4 freeze Viking :rolleyes: still, we managed 10:3 bro ;) It's all on the amount of drugs you have when you get ahead of marshall.

And it's not only about MUs. Typical example:
some pro (not me :ph34r:) comes along and rules a battle with his rail. So they all go to garage, purchase rail, come back, dont spin turrets and miss all shots. Rail is no beginners-gun. This must be pure frustration -.-
But we can't talk about it.

The game feels so dead silent down there..

Or they encounter a Ricochet m0 for the first time.  Then they all start saving up for Ricochet.     Or those guys that buy every single m0 turret and hull to have fun or experiment. Or those guys that waste their crystals on m0 and m1 modules.  This is what results in a lot of new players quitting as they find their equipment not competitive (as they blew away all their crystals) with the opponents they are facing.

If they buy a rico it's fine; as most starters cant aim well and therefore the Rico with it's low reload between the single shots is perfect for them.

 

If I like to see if an account is an alt, I just check if he owns almost all the M0 turrets. If yes, then it is the original account the guy started with :P. My main looks like that too :p.

But as you guys say.. they waste a lot of crystals on crap: when they start to spend crystals on 10% modules that help vs Rico.. well that's useless.

Since the barrier for chat was risen to rank 8, the number of account thiefs in chat has significantly dropped (lets change account, do you need crystals, I have a hack... ). And the spam is also reduced, as it now takes time to gather a spam-account.. and it is a loss now, if it is blocked :P

True, too. Alts are done neatly and have a clean and orderly garage. They may even make a 'specialist' account in order to experiment with a single combination.

This is really a good way to play the game, assuming you aren't sold on ranking quickly. When Tanki rebalanced your combo into uselessness, swap out to play an another account.

 

Although I don't think I would have ever foreseen the swap of Hunter and Viking.

 

Unrelated question for BlackWasp777 and I_already_won. You guys alts or are those your mains? Ratings page looks like mains but I could be wrong...
