Tankers! We believe nothing should ruin the holidays in Tanki Online. Over the past two days we have received a number of complaints from players experiencing poor game performance, such as lag, low FPS, and frozen images.

 

We have analyzed the situation and have come to the conclusion that the problem is mostly related to using Google Chrome. Although we cannot influence the developers of the Google Chrome, we will do our best to solve the problem on our own.

 

actually ... all these issues for some background ? are you sure it's  worth ?? most of TO players love to see the sunset / background / etc. during a battle ??? for me personally, when I play I don't give a ...  :P

My FPS is 50 and ping is about 40 but the game still lags and I get destroyed because of it. Another problem the map "Iran" lags too much. I have ADSL connection of 4 Mbps but the game lags too much after the update. :(

For those of us on Linux we have no option but to use chrome with pepper flash. It is the only way to get 3D acceleration. So hopefully the devs can come up with a solution for this issue. For me FPS is about the same as before the update, but the lag is really bad. Full screen did not seem to help. Up till 7-8 players it is playable. And the larger the game the worse it gets. I usually average between 25 -35 fps. If it helps RIO was the worst for me before update. Now I'm not sure, I haven't checked many maps yet. If you have any specific questions related to this, from the  Linux point of view, just ask.

i have a solution for players if u have a normal fan or aircondition turn them on so the pc will cooldown and function faster!

I hope i can help somehow, i have experienced huuuuge lag and game working jerkily, and i've been experiencing it more or less since the day before the Birthday celebrations started.

"Luckily" i already always use Mozilla, and i have always played in F11 mode, full screen, as it actually quitted lag. As soon as lag started few days ago i also rebooted pc and router, but before that i cleaned cookies and cache of all browsers, I've run Ccleaner to clean junk files and registry keys, cleaned global settings of flash ("Quit all data" button if not wrong) and closed any other application (even if my pc is not so old so should run easily many applications without problems).

After doing that, i analyzed the behaviour of images while playing, because there's still some lag, and i realized that lag "follows" seconds: it's not easy for me to explain, but think to the noise of a watch when a second is passed, tic, tac, tic tac; to every second corresponds a very short delay of images in the game and the result is that the game works jerkily for a little while every second, and works "normally" for the space of time between a second and the following one.
I'm not an expert, but this made me think that the problem might be not strictly related with tanki, but more general and dued by (for example) last Flash or Mozilla updates, or also updates on graphic drivers, so all players with same or similar graphic cards have lag too.
I'll try lowering graphics in the game, hopefully that will work.

o Google chrome desde as ultimas versões novas que não dá para jogar tanto tanki online como outro game que eu jogava, na versão 17 do chrome eu jogava sem quaisquer problemas tanto tanki online como outros.

 

e o melhor browser neste momento para eu jogar tem sido o internet explorer o mozila já esta igual ou pior que o chrome.

 

e sim o FPS tem estado baixo e já reparei que no meu caso é só nos primeiros servidores do 1 ao 5, ou quando o servidor esta a ficar cheio. mas também já reparei que quando um hacker entra na batalha meu FPS fica baixo não sei se tem alguma coisa a ver.mas existe hackers que enviam processos para o computador abrir e fica lento.

This is very true, Google Chrome is a fav of many players to use, but it is the browser that lags the most from what i have seen. Hopefully these tips will work for some players, cause i have already tried them before this topic was created.

Exactly the same for me, full screen mode helped a little, but I can't play with precision anymore, for example in XP battles..... also lag is intolerable and unbearable and jitter is high, I'm afraid, that the edits to the maps need to be reversed.

On newer computers, Google Chrome and works perfectly fine. Or at least for me. I use IE 11. It only makes sense for me to use it because I have a Windows computer...... But I wish this came out last year because my old PC was lag central. No one's lag compares to my previous lags.

Then press Fn F11, or go to the menu of google chrome and click on the fullscreen buton (next to the zoom).

If using mozilla, click on fullscreen, hope one of those will work.

Nothing to do... today there's much more lag than yesterday, and with graphic settings lowered as much as i could there's no difference, lag is exactly the same and makes it impossible to play. :(

Also, mozilla works jerkily if i have any page of the game opened in any tab, no need to be in a battle, it can be also the general chat in any server :/ So it must be something related with the game...

I don't have any new lag problems (I always have a bit lags and a low FPS), perhaps because I'm using a Standalone Flash Player and not Chrome.
