That's not the point...I do avoid those situations. Im talking about when Im attacking someone near me, or not that far, they can back away easily if they have enough health or so, and it really ticks me off.

Hmm Then they should changed sd penalty to only when players jump off the edge of the maps

isida, freeze and firebird already have very short range. it will be too hard for people using fire/freeze to get to others so they could kill them. you obviously are in to isida cause you didnt change it. the problem is that it has too many strengths and practically no weaknesses. the only weakness was range. now it has more range than those other short range weapons.

so now mults can jump off a cliff or self destruct over and over in TDM

saboteur alert!........whatever next, if the game wasn't so massively popular mults and saboteurs would have been taken more seriously and there would be a deterrent, cba to make videos, votes, complaints, doesn't do nothing.

 

even 1 guy today called me "stupid" because i was trying to get the other teams flag, needless to say he had 0 kills, i think he was friends with some of the other team...but maybe not...loooool...he wasnt even moving, but if we was coming with the flag back to base he would start moving to block us...some team-mate

 

but yeah in the case of TDM this update is gonna have big repercussions bordering on corruption from tankers who like being spiteful to their own and going renegade, or enjoy playing the spy

Rico and thunder self destructs are a tactical part of the game. To resolve the self destruct issue, can't you just out a small wall around every map so people can't drive off?

Imagine you bought Freeze M2 with your hard-earned crystals in a sale which took you months to save up. You loved it for it's strong damage, long charge, and good range. After a few days of using it, there was an announcement that it will be weakened. How would you feel when the Freeze M2 that took you a long time to save up for was just gonna be nerfed here and there huh? When it's range and damage is just gonna be reduced to nothing? When it's unique Freeze effect is just gonna be removed by the cheapest and most common weapon in the game? This is basically a crime already!!!

Am so annoyed right now...Freeze m3 was the next on my list and now its so underpowered...and the self destruction thingy...STUPID thing to do,what if im in a big map like serpuhve and i flipped . Ill have to wait for over 2 mins just so i get killed

Plz fix freeze...

TDM are less popular those days.

agreed, but TDM on its own and not compared with DM and CTF is more popular then some other MMO games on its own when taking all servers into consideration, plus popularity shouldn't be a factor regardless

Remove this map again then! It was only popular when it was introduced for the second time in the game. I cant see any purpose of the "madness" part, cause all of the action happens on the platform on the bottom.

Well that brings another question in my mind. Does changing weapons in the game counted as Self Destruction too....

good question!

 

in the beginning i thought that thunder would only get penalised when shooting a wall to SD, and not in self defence against oncoming opponents so long as you hit them and dont hit the wall to hit them :P....loooool..(so long as the programming could differentiate between wall and tank, im no gizmo whizz kid :blush:) but Semyon says they will apply to everything now...eeeek

 

i wonder what came first in the Devs thoughts; SD penalties, or the thunder upgrade...

 

well atleast titan and mammoth can't push us off the map seeing they are so slow now they are practically frozen, i felt that they was already too slow...and the example given by freeze to mammoth is kind of invalid seeing that mammoth won't leave base no more and freeze can only be effective hiding near his flag...not the place where opposing mammoths will come to cool off.....hmmmmm......but yeah i get it...freeze can still kill 1 mammoth with 1 charge which is pretty neat to my surprise, but he will have to be multing to get anywhere near him :P

lol freeze use to even be able to stop tanks jumping off the edge or even pointing at the wall to SD...hehehe...what can i say

 

all armour for medium hulls now also enforced, coupled with first-aid kits active in time instead of to full bar, and isda multi abilties...i wonder what came first?

 

i wonder what came first firebird and freeze downgrade or isda healing powers upgrade or where they even considered together seeing that its likely isda wont have to heal many guys with burns or frostbite in the near future...however i think its a really good idea because isda guys can stand around waiting for the action if they are more team orientated (instead of the runners that go for the flag/kill etc) and this update will keep them busy...obviously this isda update wasn't done with DMs in mind though with their healing powers and close range powers they was in good shape anyway

if u don't like it you don't have to play there...very very simple...its not rocket science

 

in a way its a very good map, and would be more popular but for the time and length it takes to get around especially from bottom to top when required, but the bottom part is where the action lies, but now if u jump down and flip then its a penalty...hmmmmm

i won't be playing there either

 

an XP battle using the bottom platform with all the pits and traps and none of the swirling staircases (or some of them) would be epic

After this change I predict that:

 

1. Isida users will be everywhere. Freeze and Firebird will go out of style and become useless.

 

2. Druggers will have even more of an advantage. My tactic against First-aid users was to let them use up their use first before firing again.Seems like it won't be possible after the update...

 

3. TDMs will become full of mults due to people self-destructing. Instead of your intentions for decreasing the mults in teams, you're only gonna increase them. COME ON DEVELOPERS! PUT THE PUNISHMENTS ON THE MULTS, NOT THE TEAM!!!

 

4. Thunder users will lose their most important strategy, self-destruction.

 

5. Many players will leave the game. I can almost GUARANTEE it.

 

6. Firebird badly underpowered at higher ranks?! WHAT THE...!!!!

 

If I had the money, I would personally get a plane ticket to Perm and slap the sense into the developers. Listen to our opinions!

 

 

Please hear our opinions and do something about it!

+1  Now Every battle mults will push noobs so they dont take more cry because of penalty.

I got idea !

  • Don't kill your self.
  • If you lay upside down, wait for enemy to kill you. In Meanwhile gold notification then SD ( your choice )
  • Don't drive fast around edges. Drive carefully in maps like madness etc.

What else I can say? Don't play T.O at night and Don't Drink and Drive your Tank. :P

Yeah, it can still kill Mammoths in one charge, but you need to REEEEAAAALY close to it.

And when that Mammoth has Twins/Rico, you're screwed.

We are screwed from everywhere :P

About the self destruct topic

 

 

There is another way people are following.. They simply reload the page before you destroy them, by this they wont lose scores and you get nothing

and i dont think tanki can do something about this

my idea before in a previous thread regarding the OP of firebird was instead of its ability to combust opponents at max temperature so quickly, and simultaneously also being able to heat up multiple opponents in the same flame, that if it was reduced in capability in a rebalance that it could be countered by any team-mate going near a burning tank he would also catch fire, but only for the time left remaining his team-mate has to cool down, so if his energy bar is low he could also be destroyed.

 

The problem before was as firebirds impact takes a while to effect, it didn't have an instant impact in game, kills can be taken by others preying on weakening opponents, and runners could take a flag without being hindered or stopped in their tracks so firebird was boosted so it can gain almost instant kills aswell as gradual kills to help it keep up with the other turrets and put points on the board...now it has lost range but DPS has increased in its initial stages, though it will cool down quicker therefore firebird will need to target already injured tanks to get a straight kill. The fact that first aids kits are powered up now is bad news for firebird as first aid healing is now unlimited for a set amount of time
