hmm it would only create a lot of spam posts.

 

if its a really thoughtful and good it would be nice, but there are some people here who post tanki comercial in the tanki forum.

if you get a reward for posting you will just motivate them and that would be hell.

I have seen it work in 2 forums just fine. To get rid of SPAM, make sure users can report it conventionally and things should be fine.

Beside, users would not get tons of crystals, a Warrant Officer 5, IMO, should get 25 crystals or so every 25 posts.

I'll PM you and do this post (for others to see); there would probably be a ratio, that is up to the devs. How many a Staff Sergeant gets I cannot say.

"if" they ever do something like this, then they should reward you for your post, not your rank.

 

good substance of a post should reward you and that should count for any rank!!!!

it should not matter how long or well you played this game.

Good objection, however, there would not be a huge difference, I assume/project it would only be a difference of a few crystals (e.g. 5); not much to make someone wait.

I agree with the others saying it would create many more opportunities for spamming and meaningless posting. I come from the Lego.com Message Boards, a great site. It is moderated. However, you achieve different "rankings" for your number of posts. The highest known is maniac.

 

Sadly, though, people got too gung ho about the more posts=cooler rank thing, and, though spamming was rejected by the moderators, the mods had to accept the meaningless posts because they were not violating any rules. You may visit there if you want to see for yourself. =/

OK, let's say a WO5 gets 5 crystals for every 50 posts. That would be just a little perk, not much of a drive to bring on SPAM.

Likeliness? 250 posts is a ton, and they would have to be off topic, and the user would get banned from posting for such dumb/random posts. And 250 posts is quite some work for 25 crystals.

Why? If you want to write something on forum, you can write it (if it don't violates the rules, of course). To pay the crystals for that? That's ridiculous.

I suggested this because I have seen other forums use it and the community becomes healthier. Do note: The crystals can be very few, e.g. 5 crystals for 50 posts or so; I am not suggesting you give your first born son as a sacrifice to us.

Is the post=crystals thing still going on? because i made 3 different posts, all registered with the same tag "edgar9796" (one said edgar8786, but it was because i screwed up the registration so i put the edgar9796 tag inside the post), after i made the 3 posts (in September) i waited about a week but i didn't even get 300 crystals.

PS. I checked all 3 posts yesterday and none of them were banned from the forums, oh and yes i did send the applications from the homepage of tankionline with the link of each post.
