A Study on Druggers (or why they are so annoying)

Well, I mostly use my supplies to capture flags, take gold boxes or for countering druggers. I hate people who drug mindlessly, except for this one time when I was in a sandbox CTF and my team was losing, when this drugger joined our team. His nickname was Skype_TO, and even though he took the flags and didn't cap them many times to gain kills, I got 1k cry because of him.

keep in mind that the games he was speaking of where the ones where there were no druggers in the game then players joined and started pressing 234 that alone is nooby doesn't matter whether they were skilled or not. for those actually reading saying "drug back" isnt a solution it is simply making this issue worse

You receive them in daily bonuses. When else are you going to use them, other than for gold and parkour? If you're that stingy, just use a DP to destroy them faster, or even some mines. ._.

One thing which i find bad is that you make no distinction between a buyer and a drugger.
Not all buyers are druggers.

People can do what they want with their money, you dont have a places to condemn the opinion on what they do with it.

 

Drugs are available to everyone.

 

If you hate the idea of buyers buying, why be upset when they play against you?? After all they are spending "mommys money on a freaking internet game" jealous much?

 

Drugging non stop isn't cheating in any way, you can do the same if you want you just use excuses to why you can't afford it.

 

Pro players can be hardcore druggers too, so they aren't noob.

 

You have use a crazy amount of asumptions and superlatives with no back up evidence.

I find this whole topic kinda pointless to be honest.

 

Firstly, drugs are part of the game and a fair part too. Everyone has access to them. I think the hate for druggers comes from the fact that they were on the receiving end of the treatment... You DO realise you CAN drug back...

 

Secondly, there are a fair few assumptions that are simply wrong? Not all buyers are druggers. I don't buy, but if I receive 50 drugs in my daily bonus you expect me to never use them?

 

Not all druggers are noobs. I don't know where you got that assumption from... Everyone receives drugs. If you don't make use of them you are a fool, no? But according to you if you use them you're a noob?

 

If they were really noob, why don't you just drug back and win then?

 

Of course, you get druggers who are noons, but that doesn't make all druggers noobs.. I don't see where you found the logic to assume that

You cant drugg back every time because these druggers are in every battle almost!

The amount of druggs you use in a battle makes you noob,if you drugg non-stop like a lot of druggers do,you are of course an big noob!

   These people who are using their "mommy's credit card" are the ones SUPPORTING AND FEEDING the developers. Just respect the buyers man, as they are the ones funding for the continued development of this you call "internet game". Drugging can be fun too when you have 100+ of each drug. There are people who resist months of temptation to save up on drugs. Don't assume every drugger is a buyer. Most of the massive buyers out there have THEIR OWN JOBS and CREDIT CARDS. So respect the buyers, even if they are annoying, as they are the ones supporting this game just for you to rant on. Get a PRO BATTLE PASS!!!

@Kirby2008 Ok, I may have misunderstood what you guys said. But I am talking about those players who drug 24X7. Everybody drugs once in a while. But do you think those who drug all the time have skill? Because if they do, they wouldn't need to use the supplies.

i hav also posted many solutions but devs never listen to us.

At least they should increase the time gap between using supplies.

Yeah it's fine :) I can understand why you would find druggers annoying, but there's no need to make a whole topic to rant about them :p

 

@buggatti I don't see many battles where people join and continuously drug for no reason- usually it's for a large fund.. In which case it's, I guess, justified to an extent.

I was just in this battle and there was this kit buyer and he was kept drugging a lot. Even with a boss health kit and M2 Viking, he still got killed so easily. I don't know how because I've seen a non-drugging M0 Wasp do better than that.

Geez this thing has really taken off! 

While reading some of the replies (and thanks to all who took the time to reply) I got thinking. 

 

What we have here is a good old fashioned paradox. A lot of people want all drugs banned from the game, thus ridding us of druggers. But druggers are also necesary to the game, as this is how the devs make their two bits (get it? like a 64-bit game and two bits is also a slang for mon- oh never mind). 

 

However, dont use that argument solely for the druggers. We get free drugs every time we come back to the game.

Have you ever walked into a battle and seen a mass of enemy players all on full powerups? Have you ever been in a great battle and have had one or two players start mashing the 2,3,4 keys? What did you do after that? Rage quit? Try to keep up before quitting? If so, you are not alone. Many an epic battle has been RUINED by these pathetic noobs, who are so scared of not being in first place that they must use powerups to feel good (AKA Use drugs). Just like real drugs, these powerups give the user a "high" of being able to mow down all the other players who play normally. This thread will seek to "study" this epidemic of druggers, and why their actions are ruining a great game.  

 

What is a drugger?: A drugger can be defined as a tanki player that uses the game's powerups almost the entire battle. There are four "tiers" of druggers:

 

TIER ONE: The drugger uses some or all three drugs while getting a flag, no other time. We've all done this, it can be forgiven. 

 

TIER TWO: The drugger uses one or two powerups (e.g. power or armor) nonstop. 

 

TIER THREE: The drugger uses all powerups at once, nonestop. Unfortunately, this is becoming very common. 

 

TIER FOUR: The worst, this drugger uses all drugs at once, AND uses a kit, giving them better equipment at a lower rank, just because they can use mommy's credit card to pay cash for a freakin' internet game.

Why do druggers do what they do? I believe it is a two part cause: 1) they like being able to destroy others easier, and 2) The latest Tanki update made many turrets weaker and kits and drugs cheaper. The latter is what I think is causing more and more druggers to appear. Their former turrets are just not cutting it anymore, so the drugs come into play.

How can you combat a drugger? The perfect weapon to stop a drugger is Freeze. It severely slows them down, allowing your team to overwhelm them. Also, place down lots of mines, as this can flip over druggers. A flipped drugger does zero damage. DONT DRUG BACK. This encourages the drugger and starts a "drug war", where only powerups are used. 

 

If the battle fund is low, leave. Dont bother fighting the losers. Druggers can cause hair loss, throat problems, skin lesions, and an enlarged prostrate.

DRUGGERS' ARGUMENTS AND WHY THEY ARE POINTLESS: 

 

"Thats why drugs are there is to be used!" -Yes, maybe to go get a flag or something. NOT to use forever. 

 

"You are just mad cause you lost" -Im mad because you think hitting a few keys makes you better than others. 

 

"Haha noobs!" -Who is the noob, the guy who has played for years without drugging, or the guy that has played for 15 minutes using nonstop druggs. 

 

"Duuhhhhh me drugger, me hit keys cause im gooder than you, harharhar me dumb" Can't argue with ya there, champ.

WHAT CAN YOU DO OUTSIDE THE GAME TO HELP: Push for a new update limiting the amounts of drugs allowed to be used in-game. Also, if you see druggers, write down their names and add them to the DRUGGER LIST OF SHAME!!! see below)

A MESSAGE TO DRUGGERS: Dear noobs, you may think you are good at this game, but you are not. Just because you can hit 2,3,4 with your fat little fingers or use mommy's credit card to buy drugs and kits does not make you better than the other players that have played for a long time without spending a single cent. You have no skill at all, friends, and when you get to the real world, you will see you cant just hit keys to be better.
