Firebird Vs. Freeze

I believe it depends on what kind of player you are. If you are a good player that can maneuver well, I think the good choice would be Freeze, because then (if you circle around them) the enemy is pretty much helpless, unless they are using ricochet and there are walls nearby.

 

Firebird is also a good turret, does decently more damage then freeze, and is good for keeping your D/L rating the same, since you can still kill people after you are dead. This turret is good on short-medium range maps when there are alot of players, because since you can damage more than 1 enemy at a time, you could kill a whole bunch of people if you had double damage on.

 

Personally, I often use both. I like to use Freeze in capture the flag when I'm playing defense, but in DMs and when I'm playing offense in CTF, I would prefer firebird

Guys, did you know that Freeze M3's DPS is getting buffed by 7 points and Firebird M3 will be nerfed by 3 points? So it looks like Freeze is no longer Firebird's prey. Log in to a test server if you want to see for yourself.

Firebird vs. Freeze: An age old argument. Both turrets have their pros, and both have their cons. So, the question is, which is better? Burning your opponents to a slow, painful death? Or freezing your opponents until they are utterly helpless? Discuss below!

Umm, i think Firebird is anything but slow... in fact it's to fast to be painful either lol

I used to love circling enemies with freeze when I was an m2 player. But when I got my first m3s I didn't use it as much. Now I rarely use freeze because the update decreased the energy so much, which makes it harder to freeze players :(

I like firebird because the damage is so high.

I don't know if its just me, but it seems like M1 Firebird is really, really, horrible at burning. But when it gets to M2, the rate and effectiveness suddenly jumps. Again, its possible its just me.

Depends on your rank; At M0/M1 I'd say Freeze is better since Firebird's afterburn is almost non-existant at M0/M1, but at M2 and up, Firebird gets a huge boost in damage and the afterburn is actually noticeable/useable.

i think firebird is better because if u have a good enough hull u can spray a lot of enemies that are together for example in polygon CP when they are at the point before your tank gets destroyed and then the afterburn will kill them.

At M3+ Freeze is ahead or firebird by 8 Damage points but practically firebirds after burn will kill him in a few seconds unless he got drugs/ isida/ another freeze to cool him down nearby.

Its not good to use Freeze in a crowded flag area. When you take the flag and freeze them,the slow motion tank actually block you. Isn't that bad?

I think firebird is better than freeze but if you have freeze with wasp then freeze may kill you before firebird turns its turrent.

i would say they are almost equal,the fire bird does higher dps and the freeze can freeze the opponent from rotating it's turret to fire so it basicaly depends on the situation ur in.
