Update 270 — balancing of turrets and hulls

I think the new penalty is ridiculous. It is a really bad idea as it is unfair to the majority of players who self destruct while they're upside down or get pushed off by others. What you should do instead, tankidevs, is make the last person that damaged you get the kill of you self destruct. This way players will get their kills if the other is driving off maps and also let clumsy overturned players to get back into battle without penalties.

Hey, 

Pls repair freeze. Frozen effect is to short and damage is to small. Firebird have got similar damage when it burning me and burning effect too also give some injuries. When i kill freezer damage stop and it is to small :( and do smoky some weaker. You should restore First aid like it was before.

​I think it's fair that who destroy himself shuld suffer a penalty, but sometimes you don't do it on porpouse! When you fall sometimes you have to destroy yourself, eaven if your health bar is full, and I don't like to suffer a penalty because I made a stupid mistake or because another tank pushed me! I think it's better to remove penalties if you press "delete", and apply penalties only if someone destroy himself by going out of the map or using thunder or ricochet. What do you think?

hello! today i decided to write down how i feel after the s**t update! you ****ing mods and admins of TO made a **** update  !  i flip really much cause i play with isida or freeze. so now i loose 5 points every time! or fire bird - it was soo good before 4-5 months. in the first update you just ruined it but now you just broke it like a small toy or LEGO. so fix it. oh yeah and health kits... omg they are so ****... i mean before you should have waited 4-5 secs to unfreeze now with health kit and BOOM unfreezed ! and with fire too . im a fire lover like my sis and play a lot with firebird too but now every 3rd is having drugs like a god. so i fire him and he gets out his health kit and double armor and power and with his thunder/isida m1/m2 kills me and i dont. so i fu*king dont like the update

i want to take my words back as i was criticizing this update. but this update is really good. Freeze Fire  and Rico are still powerfull. but before they were over powered. and now you need skill to play good xD

 

so awesome job done by developers. and i would love to see some new hulls and guns in game. Please Developers try to introduce some new guns and hulls in game before getting on to unity :P

The damage gradually decreasing over range for Freeze is just powering Isida even more, think about it: before you used to be able to get out of the range of an Isida and finish them off while giving them full damage, but now you have to get so close to them meaning that they can easily shoot and since they're most of the time going to be on a light hull, they can catch up to you if you're going around them trying to leave them helpless. This update just made Isida super OP in my opinion, but Freeze and Firebird are still pretty good to use in other situations. :p

Smoky is a bit overpowered again in my opinion. The common shots or critical hits should hit less. All the other weapons are perfect like they're now. :p Mammoth's speed should be increased a bit again. Now it really goes too slow. All the other hulls are again great in my opinion. :p

Hey everyone!

 

It's been a while since we last made changes to turret and hull parameters. Since then, we’ve kept analyzing and testing to find out what further tweaks are needed, and to make sure the balance is preserved or improved. As a result, almost all turrets and hulls have been tweaked to improve the gameplay.

 

In addition, the following changes have been rolled out:

  • The effectiveness of First Aid Kits has been increased. It now restores up to 400 HP in 2 seconds and will remain active for a set amount of time, even after your HP have been fully restored.
  • First Aid Kit and Isida now remove freeze and burn effects. Isida only does this when interacting with allied tanks.
  • Mines now become active after 1 second instead of 2 seconds.
  • All battle modes now have a penalty for self-destruction, in the form of 1 kill and 5 points from the team's score.

Due to the introduction of the self-destruct penalty, we have also updated the Polygon. The new version of the map makes it a lot more difficult to drive off the edge or push off another player. We will be updating other maps in the same way if and when necessary.

We have also just updated all item descriptions in the game, making them shorter and more informative. It is now easier to assess different pieces of equipment and find the one that best suits your needs. And if you really want to obsess over the details, we have added links to the wiki page of every turret, hull, supply and micro-upgradable paint in the garage. There you will find technical details such as turret rotation speed, damage over distance, hull acceleration and micro-upgrade improvement stages.

:( I used to play with hornet + rico but now its gone. -_-. !!! What I am gonna do now ? Rail ? Rail bad need 2 shot about 14 sec to kill any tank. In 14 sec they gonna ruins my life.

lol thats why you need skills :) like turn around the enemy go behind them sneak around corners reverse back and things like that...

ricochet wants it's range back!!!

 

Why does ricochet loose power when the most over powered weapon (Shaft) gain damage. My tank isn't happy :-(

encase you haven't noticed there are more ricos then ever and they are soo op an m0 can kill my m1 titan in 1 clip! its unfair to all the others and shaft is a little bit op but its not that much its only good at long range but rico can be used in any range and other tankers don't like that.....

If anyone will try to affect your score by pushing you off you have a tool to response

 

Use /vote!

 

Just kidding :D You can use F5 to refresh your page. By doing so you will not get a self destruction penalty.

 

But a death will be added to the score :o

can i get refund on freeze? i'm tired of watching my MUed m2 die like nothing vs a m1 twins,and i'm less than 5 meters to him.

spent 40-50k on a thing that performs worse than one costing 30k without discount.

Ricochet  is not as powerful now. Firebird is Very good now smokey is alright the best would be firebird.

Firebord, oh pardon me... firebird,  :P is the strongest turret indeed, but only For Now.

Until the next rebalance.

I wouldn't go as far to say isida is OP now. While it is stronger against short range turrets that used to be stronger than itself, it hasn't reached the point where it can be labeled OP. (As ricochet was after the previous rebalance.)

 

firebird is so weak now :( not happy
